    They're not "pro" anyone but themselves; the difference is some of the Republicans are - almost - honest about being sociopaths, while the Democrats almost universally lie through their teeth, promising the fucking moon and delivering even more corruption.

    They certainly do as a stop-gap measure; however, Toyota has spent the past twenty years designing this tech with hydrogen-based infrastructure in mind and that shit simply isn't going to take off.

    Hell, Toyota's desperation is so severe that they're pushing paid fluff pieces about how their lunar rover is going to be fuelcell-powered. I guess they'll drag along a tank of oxidizer for that hydrogen...

    I'm sorry, but there is no EV on the market at the moment that's going to last 14 hours. Or even 12 hours.

    If you of a hybrid or ICE car thar can do that without refueling, let me know (hyper-miling down a two-laner @25mph doesn't count).

  19. Nobody was ever accused of stealing. 3Dfx' strength lay in their phenomenally efficient low-level API which was limited to 16bit color; as DirectX became more popular, 3Dfx lost their edge. When Nvidia rolled out the first 3D chip with vertex acceleration ("transform &: lighting"), it was fucking over.

    I can't argue with your hollow generalized generalization because I have no idea whether you're using the traditional definition of "liberal" (i.e. a modern, enlightened humanist who's against feudalism and monarchy) or the virtually opposite Jeffersonian/Hamiltonian definition (an authoritarian Tory determined to prevent the decentralization of power).

    I distinctly remember MS saying it was impossible for win 7 to get any newer DX versions because of the infrastructure in win 10 they said allows those new versions of DX to function.

    I believe you might be thinking of XP/2003 and DirectX10; changes made to the DRM Engine (excuse me; kernel) and audiio subsystem in NT 6.x precluded running DX10 on anything earlier.

    Let's assume those stats are accurate: the rates being down hardly mitigates the known (nevermind the unknown) risks of bombarding cellular life with [greater and greater amounts] of [higher and higher frequency] EMR.

    Cancer rates could be down for other reasons entirely, despite the populace getting more and more exposure to EMR.
