With all this talk about an NBN (National Broadband Network) in Australia, why doesn't the government allow google to use the country as a testing ground for it's gigabit network rather than making the tax-payers pay through the butt?

lol the TACO! I bought the second version which looked less like a taco but sacrificed the radio for better design with a rubber protection outside it (and you can put the games in without opening the back cover). I actually bought a 2nd one (when they were heavily reduced in price) after I accidently ruined my first one in a river (something about throwing my dog in there and going in afterwards - not realising I had it in my pocket!!)

my hiptop 3 phone is great for very simple websites on the road (although it is slow - but cheaper than being on a next-g plan and more coverage in austrlaia). I use the N800 in my bed just for looking at youtube, etc also a great alarm clock (although an expensive one if you were to use it just for that). I'm using the N810 OS for it atm because it proved to be much smoother for youtube streaming etc. I upgraded this over a year ago but haven't done any recent updates (cbf'd). There is also many useful apps for these devices too.....

I still got mine working as good as when I bought (when it first came out). I have dropped it several times, had it stolen (god knows what done to it) and found again when my mum left a note to be read out at assembly in year 6 (and the bastard got quilty and left in the school toilet). This thing is truly solid as a brick s*&thouse!!!! shame they don't make all appliances (phones, etc) like this
