Why do you say it's necessary to change partition types to DOS RO? You should be able to simply install Windows (however simple that is), then boot with a linux floppy/cd, and rerun lilo.

Because it's not necessary at all. As others have posted, you CAN move files back and forth by simply dragging them to the new destination.

It is only iTunes that is not allowed to pull the files off the iPod.

And from what I've seen of Mac apps, if the files are identified as anything other than MP3s, I'll bet that iTunes won't even show them and won't include an option to do so either. Correct me if this practice has been changed recently, but this is how MOST Mac apps that I've used behave.

No, NOS is actually very potent power-adder, as it basically does the job of any forced induction device such as a turbo or blower.

I think a comparison of inflated ghz = extremely high redline w/o adequate power through the whole range.

Take the Honda S2000, for example: small, 2.0L engine, amazingly powerful though. It makes 240hp out of those 2 tiny liters. What does it rev to? 9000RPM. Sounds great, no? NO! I sure hope you enjoy driving at 6000RPM constantly to get any passing power, because that's where the power band lies-- some range between 6000 and 9000.

So what's the use of the rest of the rev range? You tell me.

If Palm splits into one company that does strictly hardware and another that only Software/Operating Systems, it seems like only good could come out of the deal for BeOS.

I'm sure Palm doesn't want the whole BeOS effort to go to waste, and now that they'll have a "separate" division for OS development, they need not be tied to just developing PDA operating systems. They can even try going towards IAs more, just as Be wanted to do.

On the other hand, I guess this would technically free up Palm's hardware division... they would probably be able to recover more market share by using other OS's instead of PalmOS on some models. I doubt they would want to, but it seems that this leaves the possibility open.

I've heard that the quality is only good for either animated movies, or real movies. I can't remember which it was, but at the time I was researching this stuff, I saw mostly images of one type, which I think was animated.

As you can see from the image at BSTV, actual footage comes out as you would expect, only so-so. It makes sense that this would only work well for animations, as those usually have large areas of solid colors, and would appear less pixelated when blown up as such.
