At the piss-poor high school I went to in one of the many horrid school districts in CA, we somehow managed to get a lab full of P2-300s a few years ago. Whether we played Doom II, Quake 2, or whatever, each of us though he/she was the shit. Then we had the bright idea of letting the self-proclaimed-king-of-whatever-damn-game-us-lose rs-were-playing-at-lunch-time play on the computer which was hooked to a projector, obviously projecting on the front wall of the classroom. After all, if he's so good, shouldn't everyone else in lab get some sort of aid, ie. see where he's at and what he's up to?

I can't help but think how much more interesting those games would have been if we had done this. Everything was all set, but the teacher backed out at the last minute... something about "$500 bulbs" and "work to do"... whatever.

If I remember right, the Windows Authorization crap has already been cracked (could be wrong).

However, Corporate edition does not need registration, only a serial. I can verify this, as I've tried it. Enter your serial, listen to the music during the configuration (yep...), and you're off. It does prompt you for registration, but it's not required, which makes sense for a "Corporate" environment.

But who's to stop a home user from using a copy made from work? I certainly couldn't tell that this was meant for the office; even when I knew it was labeled Corporate.

I guess I have a pretty damn fun job.. I work at a small software company (15-20 people), and since we never have any customers showing up at our place, it's mostly an anything-goes type of environment. Nerf guns, loud music w/ subs, MP3s of Chris Rock's acts... anything that won't lead to us getting sued.

In the midst of all this, I manage to program and admin the place along with a few friends.

And no, we're not a to-be-dot-bomb, we've been in business for just over 10 years and have a well established customer base.
