Because maybe you want open source drivers? or you want to be able to install it freely in a DC without stupid NVIDIA restriction, etc.
Nvidia is producing good stuff, but as a company they really are behaving like MS in the bad years.
How can someone patent a way to calculate a probability, and transition matrix, etc? I mean even if you add the word machine learning.
Gosh US patent system is completely broken...
It is just that America is so proud of its health system (most expensive one in the world) that produces one of the lowest life expectancy in the west world....
Switzerland as almost free university (500$ per semester) that rank in the international top (like ETHZ were Einstein studied and with 21 Nobel Prizes).
You don't have to rank in the top percentile to attend them, you can almost freely choose (only exception is Medicine) your favorite branch. You just need to get your final secondary school final exams.
You can even move here and benefit from this price as foreigner pay almost the same price...
So the biggest myth here is the superiority of the US system.
Can someone tell us why this (https://www.dpreview.com/articles/9094527764/kodakv570) is not a clear prior art (and probably covered by Kodak patents)?
Because by reading the claims in their patent I don't see the real difference
Yes this is what most phone do (at least Iphone for Android not some much luck), they don't provide the real Mac address to network you don't connect to prevent this kind of attack (they randomise your mac address). The only way for it to works will be that you connect to a TFL owned network where your Mac will appear. That's why so many shops would like to give you free Internet access through wifi, that's the best way for them to track you.
However it seems that recently a new attack has been published to de-anonymize at a low level. However if TFL was doing this kind of blurry practice (using known flow to de-anonymize people) I don't think that it will considered fair.
Yes Hydro! Switzerland was a country where more than 90% (still around 60% today) of its electricity production was coming from hydro power before nuclear was added. So Switzerland has plenty of base load capacity in that form.
So before calling other people moron you should at least read and understand the local situation, you would avoid to look like one yourself.
If they can insert a bomb they can insert an incendiary device which will also bring down the airplane as a fire in the cargo hold is deadly for an airplane....
They have weird regulation in the US.
I forgot my contact lenses at home, and wanted to buy some over the counter (as you can do in most of Europe/World). To my great surprise, I was told than in the US it was impossible to buy contact lenses without a prescription -> (me banging me head against a wall). Finished my US stays with glasses.
On the other side, you can go to a supermarket and buy paracetamol that can kill you easily if you are not careful.
ESTA:
* Do you have to answer more personal question than to get a proper visa from China? check
* Do you have to pay for it? Check
* Do you have to provide you credit card number or paypal account? Check
* Do you have to get it prior you travel? Check
ESTA is not a visa waiver, this is a freaking visa process, it is just that it is fully automated (and should perform better than a human interview). Stop to make people believe that the visa waiver program exist anymore.
And every day hundreds of people die because they don't recognize what there real capability of driving is. Human are making mistakes everyday resulting in 1.25 million road death per year.
And must accept under the EEA the European law/rule without being able to vote or influence them... When you talk about lack of democracy I think that it cannot be worst.
Just to let you know this is not a single tube tunnel. The Gotthard tunnel project is composed of 3 tubes (one for each direction + evacuation like the Channel Tunnel ) + a very large station mid-way to allow train to change tunnels in case of problem. The total length is over 150km.
People in Switzerland start to be really annoyed by the US behavior. More and more people now consider the US as a big bully. No surprise that more and more people even in Switzerland start to see Russia and China as valid partners (Switzerland even signed a free trade agreement with China).
A quick example, the US forced Switzerland to automatically provide information on bank account but at the same is refusing to do the same.
Regarding IP laws, any change will be fought by the people and it is certain that it will trigger a referendum. I think that the US will keep Switzerland on their black list for a very long time. Now it is no more a question of IP laws, it is a matter to oppose direct change of Swiss laws by a country that is less and less see a valid ally.
Spending my time on the phone in conference calls has only teach me one thing: A bluetooth headset will be always starting to fall when you have a critical point to make.
HTC made a phone in the time with only a micro USB port... It was such a failure! The worst part was that it was impossible to charge the phone and have the headset plugged at the same time (very practical for long conf call).
I made the mistake once, will not to do it twice.

Was able to watch it on Netflix, so it seems that Netflix secured the streaming for some countries.
yeah want a protection pay the local mob...
Yeap it's true nowhere! The first economy in the world China is a communist country...

You are missing the point that almost each Tesla owner has is own personal gas station at home where charging occurs most of the time.

Great and now how are you going to charge and use your phone?

Yes but you still have to build the road, and I'm pretty sure that it represents a big chunk of the total bill.
Because it is an improvement to the meatbag usually driving a car. Human drivers = 1.5 millions road death per year...
Editor mixed up 2 schools. This project is from EPFL (in Lausanne) as you can see from the project link and not the ETHZ (in Zurich) as stated.

And you really think that people willfully targeting an aircraft with multiple drone are going to comply to the no-fly zone?
