On the flipside, waiting an hour for something to actually happen is about as boring as possible for a spectator. And I don't really care about the commentators, I get excited when someone scores in basketball and that's all that matters to me. The performance of a paid screamer isn't really interesting.
Because if the OP doesn't find the feature useful, then no one is allowed to either, dammit. Otherwise his worldview is shot because he'll be forced to confront the fact that he is not, in fact, the arbiter of taste for the population at large.
Keep telling yourself that while they all stay busy trying to flush us down the drain. As long as they keep "The People" fighting amongst themselves with this sideshow partisan bullshit, they can get away with whatever they want.
The only people who see a substantive difference are those who are unable to rationally evaluate actions because of passionate feelings about a hot-button topic, say abortion or gay marriage. From a dispassionate distance, you can see both puppets are controlled by the same master (apologies to Bill Hicks).
It's not an emotional investment in politicians, per se. It's more like the emotional investment people have made in believing they know how everyone else should live, which naturally leads to passionately defending those who think the same way and have power.
Witness Apple zealots, Linux zealots, socialism zealots... I could go on all night, but I'm sick of typing already.
Plenty of modern games are based around puzzles, they're simply more organic to the game environment and therefore not as noticeable. I don't think it's a matter of modern games not having enough patience, I think it's a matter of gaming evolving into a more immersive and holistic experience.

Corporations don't exist to meet your personal definition of progress. If that's what you want, you're free to start all the companies you want dedicated to your vision. Just don't expect that you get to impose your desires on the world at large just because you consider your morality to be superior.
Or it's like you're not paying attention to the entire field and simply selecting to reinforce your biases.
It's not like the presence of one type of movie complete obliterates the other movies available to watch. The fact that something doesn't suit your taste in no way means it shouldn't exist.
You're arguing with an anti-Java zealot. There's no point to even bothering with people who made up their mind ten years ago and see it as a virtue that they can't even bring themselves to reexamine their opinions.
You may not realize this, but the people who own Nintendo are the public. I know it's hard to consider people who aren't poor and inclined to steal all their entertainment as people, but they seriously honestly are.
Why do you think it should be an option that you could quit your job and not have a new one? How is that in any way fair?
Lighten up, Francis.
I prefer open source style innovation - take what corporate America created, copy it, and give it away.

One could argue that, but there's no way to falsify it, so it's pretty much mental masturbation.
How so? Just stating your opinion doesn't make it a fact.

Look on the bright side, you can sit there on your high horse looking down on us and smile sadly, confident in your own superiority.
Don't you see, the government needs to step up with price controls on everything because it's not fair that people have to pay for stuff.
Or maybe I'm misreading the SlashBitching going on. It's always so hard to tell what the whiners actually want.
Shhhh, let him feel superior for five minutes of his life. He may not get a chance ever again.

No, you're talking about conditions that don't affect the freedom of the software.
Apple isn't required to supply what you demand, just the same as you're not required to purchase what Apple offers.
Sorry if the real world intruding on your fantasy is painful, but suck it up, you'll get over it.
Yeah, down with the man. We don't need employment, we can all live on grants like rms.
Really dude, just relax a little. The frothy unrelated bullshit you persist on spewing into every story is really old.

Zealots suck, no matter what flavor.
I don't need proof - I have faith that people who believe in religion are stupid.
You, of course, have a choice: stop driving. Grow your own food. Become self-sufficient, energy-wise.
Although the actual response seems to be "I'm gonna go bitch on the Internet cause I deserve everything at the price I want!"
I gotta wonder, do you ramble on about nothing in particular to people around you, as well?
Yeah, and how much CO2 was produced to build your car? Don't try retarded arguments here, most of us are too smart.

Hatred is always irrational. It doesn't arise from reason, it arises from emotion.
I personally save my emotion for people. Spending it on companies and computers seems like a horrible waste to me.
