    I'm convincned the only way to get Americans to give 2 shits about space travel is to tell them there might be Muslims on the Moon. But then I realize that'll only get the public interested in bombing space instead of exploring it.

    I like Dr. Dobbs Journal, C/C++ Users Journal, Communications of the ACM and IEEE CGA.

    If you haven't heard of DDJ or CUJ before, give them both a try. DDJ covers all sorts of stuff and (as an example) the October '05 CUJ had the best accidental intro to template metaprogramming I've ever seen.

    One of CACM's selling points is that the articles are regularly featured on slashdot. :p

    IMO, IEEE CGA is much more useful to me than any of ACM's SIGGRAPH stuff. This is only relevant if you're into computer graphics at all.

    I'm thinking of joining the Association of C/C++ Users for it's C-Vu journal, I dunno.

    I read 2600 for the hell of it.

    Your mileage will vary.

    Once again, Stevens Institute of Technology is nowhere to be seen. Previously, the school ranked:

    1998 - 2nd
    1999 - Honorable Mention
    2000 - 8th
    2001 - 12th

    Notice a trend? It's a symptom of an underlying problem @ what used to be one of the best tech schools in the nation.

    The 1st "AI Game Programming Wisdom" was actually pretty good. You could tell it was good by how quickly LaMothe's label put together a cheap imitation, "AI Techniques for Game Programming".

    (I never read the 2nd "AI Game Programming Wisdom"... laziness on my part.)
