    Now, I *would* like to see augmented reality applied to board gaming. Something that combines the tactile experience of playing with wooden pieces, with the convenience of computer gaming.

    The Tegra demo from a while back comes to mind. Integrating that in with a miniatures game of some sort would be interesting.

    Don't worry, I'm sure they'll have that covered...

    However, there are currently no security standards for cloud computing, and until such standards have been developed, and used effectively to measure provider services and enforce accountability, any failures will fall on the agency's in-house IT organization

    Is this funny? Or do people just chime in with whatever enters their head but is actually not funny? Serious question.

    Well you can't just say "first post" anymore, you'd get modded down instantly. So you have to think of something in the .7 seconds before you lost the first post spot. So yeah, probably is the first thing that came to mind.

    The other possibility is that it's a setup for a top level reply. Perhaps something along the lines of a These government types always have their heads up their clouds with a FTFY-type note. With that kind of visibility a +5 funny is easy to get.

    Now you reply and collect the "holy over-analysis batman" karma :-)

    Definitely does fit in the current political climate, complete with just making stuff up left and right.

    Opponents of net neutrality rules say there have been few examples of broadband providers blocking or slowing traffic.

    So what's the problem with restricting if if there have only been "few examples" of it?

    So what do they consider tangible harm and what's the evidence of it being "limited"? The article and letter could use about 15 [citation needed] tags.     The interview doesn't exactly alleviate those concerns either:

    You could play through a mission as a stealth role, and then play through it again as a combat role and get a new experience that way. You may also want to replay a mission because you didn’t get the highest level of rating on that mission.

    So if you got a bronze the first time through, you might think, “Well, it’s fun to have the bronze, I can go on and now do the missions that that bronze level unlocked me, but I might want to go back and redo it through the silver rating or even the gold rating

    Not exactly something I'd focus on when trying to hype up a game.

    Chin up, your situation can't be all that bad. I noticed you referred to "boss" in the singular. It only gets rough when multiple bosses say conflicting things that all must be correct. Then you have to start redefining words.

    The line between factors isn't always so clear. You can ask "who's your favorite musician?" and your answer could be "Kanye West". Now is that something you know ("Kanye West is my favorite musician") or something you are ("a douchebag")?

    this is really a push to create Blizzard's own digital distribution network, similar to Valve's Steam.

    It'll be nice to see some competition. Having one company control the distribution channel will cause issues over the long term when they get too comfortable. Blizzard's one of the few publishers that has the weight to compete.

    I doubt they'd be quick with the friends list integration though. Third party tools will probably pop up long before.
