    If the Republican leadership thought that this was important, they would have brought it forward in the remaing days of the session.

    The redistricting attempt by the Republicans was an attempt to redraw the lines set by a Court a couple of years ago, because the Republicans and Democrats couldn't agree.

    Why is it ok for the Republicans to do it, if they think that it wasn't ok for the Democrats to do it?

    If you want positive legislation in this area, the best hope is a compulsory license, which would charge all users of the Net a small, mandatory fee. In exchange for this, it would become totally legal to distribute and use any audio and video content on the Net.

    So what you're saying is that deaf/blind users have to pay this?

    They are probably counting lint or other types of compiler warnings.

    I thought one of the contingencies of hiring an H1B worker is that the employer has to prove that they cannot find a worker of equal skill in the US job market.

    So you might think they would require some sort of security audit?

    Maybe as part of whatever the requirements are for getting a Systems Admin license?

    Maybe as part of suspending your Systems Admin license if you fail?

    What will happen is that MS will figure out if a program was compiled using their .NET or mono. When a user tries to run a mono version on Windows, a dialog will appear saying that this program may not run correctly under Windows. MS will also figure out how to make Windows versions of .NET programs run poorly or not at all under non-Windows OS's. They did the former with DR-DOS and the latter with Java.

    That's the interesting part. He instructed the jury that simply making a product that could be used for copyright violation wasn't enough, the company had to intend for it to be used for copyright violation.

    Substitute the commission of a felony with copyright violation and gun (or pencil or whatever) for product and they really had no choice. It really turns on what you mean by "intend".

    Democrats might defend you social freedoms better, but it will cost you most of financial freedom to do so.
    And just where did the Bush tax cut come from? The Clinton surplus that Bush turned into a deficit? BTW, unless you're rich, it wasn't much of a tax cut.

    Flamebait aside, I agree with you on the Libertarians, It's just that people won't vote for them because they have no power and they have no power because people don't vote for them.

    That is, do we know how many blind Web users there are in the world?

    And how many would it take to make you do your web apps so that a special needs person could use them? Is 10 sufficient, 100?, 1000?, 10000? ....n? And just what will you tell the n - 1 user?

    This is not featureset prioritization, it's education on your part.
