  2. Why not in the news on Earth to Media: This kid is still in jail · · Score: 1

The reason as to why Dimitri is not in the news is because is has no interest to the typical American. If this was in the news then it would probably not be shown in a good light. It would probably be something like "Evil Russian Communist Hacker Threatens American Business". This is the same thing that happened with Kevin Mitnick. In some ways it might be better that hes not being brought out into public view. I still think it sucks though that he's still in jail for something that is perfectly legal. Wouldn't the Russian embassy have helped him get out by now though? Puck

What's after Windows XP Windows HAL? From the looks of it XP completly takes over your system. I think Windows 200 is going to be my last Windows purchase. The thing I hate the most is that I can upgrade Windows while one th internet, of course I'm on a speedy 56k modem so my internet connection can be even slower that usual downloading 200 patches to fix XP. 13. MS Products on Programmers work 47 days per year · · Score: 1

This is one of the major problems with Microsoft's products especially their Office line. I think it was Excel 97 that included a "3D" flying game that made excel bulky as hell. I have probably never used more than 97% of Word's features, all I need is a basic text editor. Now why doesn't anyone ever seem to do this?

  14. Bush on More Candidate Answers - Bush and Hagelin · · Score: 1

Why does bush never seem to answer questions with a straight answer. Almost every time ive seen him answer a questionj on TV he seems to go off on a tangent talking about the issues that the "american public" wants to know, for example, in the encryption question he(or his aids) went off talking about consumers right to privacy on e-commerce sites but the question was about encryption export controls. Another thiong that really bugs me is his constant use of bad grammer when he has a "masters degree" in business from HARVARD, dont you have to know basic grammer to even get into HARVARD. I just wish the elections were after Febuary so that I could vote. Damn it know I forgot what I was talking about, Puck

If you have a child that can not tell the difference between a pixel and real life then you need to get your kid into some special schooling and take a serious look on how your raising your kid. Parents these day rely too much on TV to raise their kids instead of doing it themselves. A person psych is influenced the most by their real world environment. If you tell your kids the differnce between "make believe" and the real world and that you shouldn't act your violence out on other people and you re-enforce this on them then there is a high probability that they will not go out and shoot-up their school, the small percentage that would should be in a mental instituion getting some serious help because their mind would be seriously fucked up.

A great gift, the iRobot, it runs off of Linux 2.2, with a K6-2 450 Mhz CPU, 6GB IDE harddrive, runs Apache, has a wireless internet connection, built in webcam, can climb stairs in 10 secs, allows for remote access through the internet, has a SDK coming out soon, an over all great geek gift, all for the low, low price of $4,995, but still its a great gift.

  19. Scary lookin on Windows Whistler Screenshots · · Score: 1

When whistler comes out I might have to go completly 100% linix, fuck the games. What is with MS and all their graphics, i personally prefer using the command line for when I need to do quick tasks instead of taking ten minutes to get a simple thing done. Sure pretty graphics are good for the average user, but what about power users. Since whistler is a convergence of NT and 9x kernels then will this replace NT also? If it does then we will probably see a massive conversion over to *ix servers or nobody will upgrade. When will MS start to improve their OSs internally instead of just graphically and adding new features without fixing the current problems.

I have an idea that the human race a long time ago when our ancestors were still apes, got genitically altered so that we became smarter and started using tools, there are two things that could of altered us and that is and alien race or some kind of mutation from radiation or maybe a virus. In short all the human race is, is E.T.'s science project. Puck-3D
