Actually I think he/she/it might be saying one cringes in fear of two (unspecified) problems, as well as cringing at a mess, a nightmare, and some horrors. So there are at the very least five items at which one cringes. No word on what those Two Problems That Must Not Be Named are, but they must be doozies.;)
Maybe you should RTFA before laying into the editors.
1) "Life on the Road with 3G" was the actual name of the article.
2) RTFBQ:
First of all, I know that despite some of the more highfalutin marketing, SprintPCS Vision is not really 3G, but is really "2.5G," or a stepping stone between the previous dog-slow wireless data services and the promised, faster 3G services that are just now starting to be rolled out in test areas. 2.5G networks, using either GPRS or CDMA-1X, have proliferated in the past year or so to the point that they're available in most areas with heavy wireless coverage. Some analysts think that the step from second generation voice services (2G), to 2.5G, that includes always-on network connectivity and modest data speeds will actually be a bigger revolution to the consumer than the super-high data rates of the promised 3G networks.

Old Woman: Ohhhh, it's a friendly robot... this time...
Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe something like this?
Truly an American icon... except for a testy Internet user calling him/her/itself 'Metallic Matty.' Members of the Osborne family expressed regret that Metallic Matty hadn't been informed, but suggested he/she/it either RTFA or chill out.
A lot of the fun of those BattleTech pods was the non-virtual stuff: the build-up, the real person walking you in and setting things up, the explanatory video beforehand, watching the live matches on vidscreens at the bar outside, etc. Oooh, also the big honkin' Timberwolf model out front.:)
It's rather like the Star Tours or Star Trek: The Experience effect: the ride is cool, but checking out all the stuff leading up to it is half the fun... a good thing, considering how much time you are in line versus in ride.
Boomin' Texas Instruments solar calc I got in high school in 1985. Still works perfectly -- so well in fact that my stepson, who's now in high school, is using it.:)

Damn, that was real clever of you. Did you actually RTFA?
Isn't double ROT13 what old-timers used to call ROT26? ;)
WHAT?!!
Now you know why Klingons are cooler than Ferenghi. ;)
Look, if you hate Michael so much, why not just filter out his stories in your prefs? Or would you rather just complain?

Is that better?
It's RMS, Richard Matthew Stallman. GNU/RMS to you.
;)
No, he was referring to, er, Richard's cousin, um, Really Simple Stallman.

Why not just make it A Perfect Doughnut Of Silicon? ;)
Mmmmmm.... silicon....
"Then I found that there was no colour in the shell, no vim, no bash, no multiple desktops."
Yeah, that's really too bad.
Now that would be entertaining. LOL
Is there an O'Reilly book that isn't useful or somewhat entertaining?
;)
I don't find any of these useful or entertaining.
How many games has Bungie brought out since 1999 when Oni and Halo were announced?
One and a half: Halo for Xbox and Oni (through Take Two/GoD).
How many new games have been announced since 1999?
One: the sequel to Halo.
Is the first Halo on Mac or PC four years after they were announced? Nope, and it may be five years before they do.
How exactly are they starting revolutions any more?
1, 2, 3: Yes, I know. Note use of humor.
4: And this is bad why?
Maybe we can expect to see Halo finally! Go Bungie!

Well, obviously what we need then is contaminant-eating, hydrogen-producing bacteria. Someone get working on this immediately! ;)
THANK YOU Fishstick! I was trying to remember where that was from the other day and had myself convinced it was a Simpsons quote. MetaKarma upon you.

Hey, if I can take a blaster and a Wookie into a SimOnline neighborhood for target practice, I'm there!
Think that's bad? I kept seeing a certain person's monogram with every, er, repetition of Repetitive Mistake Syndrome. :)
I *hated* Hitch Hiker's Guide and I really don't care for Tolkien.

Wow! That's a pretty brave thing to say on this site.
