Is anyone really surprised? Have you ever met a mall security guard, bouncer, airport monkey who wasn't a complete power abusing ass? Face it people do give them grief and it can be a shitty job so the only people that are going to take it are the type who are looking to bully the public.
I'd like a job where I can my dog to work. He's clean, doesn't shed and quiet and I'd be more likely to stay much later so let's see companies start offering dog facilities. Plus lunch time will be much more fun.
I still like it to be like an old Papyrus sim and when you hit a wall head on the is dead and in bits but at least they're moving towards the right direction.
If you're going to over simplify things the Reagan years we saw started to see the debt sky rocket. Even if you think things were much better then it is impossible to keep that up. Eventually someone wants their money back.
The 50's and 60's were a success and with some of the highest taxes ever while the 70's were bad they won't cause the US to lose its super-power status like Reaganomics are doing.
That may very well be true but there was absolutely no mention of performance. He asked for a cross-platform 'hello world' gui app.
Show me a GUI "Hello, world!" that'll run on every platform Java does - even if Java windows look like shit. Java isn't just a cross-platform language, it's also a cross-platform toolkit that hides all the OS specifics, far more than any of the languages you mention.
That said there is always PyPy for getting more performance out of Python and I suspect we'll further options with better performance in the future.
The phones are all the same. Justify the fucking providers give you by pointing out they try to lock you in by having their own frequencies is retarded. People seem far too happy in the US to be screwed over by their mobile providers. I just can't see the joy in owning a mobile in the US.
Given the US' awful broadband coverage there are still loads of areas dependant upon shops so it will hurt sales. It's just a question of how many people gaming in broadbandless areas these days given the size of patches, additional content, etc.
I know money isn't very imaginative but you're not in touch with what the other person likes then let them decide. They'll get something they want and your money isn't wasted. The idea of this patent is basically like giving someone money without actually giving them money from what I understand. Just cut out the middle man and give money.
We use Oracle and I can't honestly anything nice about them. Their database isn't awful but all their tools are, imo, shit with SQL developer being on the top of the shit heap. Leave it open for any reasonable amount of time and it leaks memory every where and takes a year to shut down.
I'm sure their databases are nifty and everything but they're insanely expensive and I don't think they offer me enough over something like postgres to pay through the nose. I understand why corporations love it because they're all about having support even if it's not the best solution.
Google defaults to sensible content settings and you have to go out of your way to stop filtering of your results so who would stop filter on their results and search for something that would bring up anal sex at work?
I don't really use it for communicating to anyone but I follow people and companies like Nasa and effectively use it as an RSS feed. I see no harm in using it that way and it's better than blabbing about how I did a poo this morning.
The government says it's not threat while claiming not to know anything about it. Who in the hell do they think they're fooling? If there is no worry about it then they know exactly what it was.
If I had to guess the lights are supposed to work but when they break down they don't get off their ass to fix them until maybe there are enough broken to ge a guy to come out and do all of them. Unless it's an important one. I would say there are definitely some cross-walks that seem to do nothing at all but likewise some are instant. I'm sure some streets are deemed more important so maybe they do turn some off.
What annoys me is the one bI need to get to the train station is the one that always takes ages to turn.
I've bought region free dvd players in the UK. It's not illegal to have region free players in all countries. But failing that just play your DVDs from Linux and easily play DVDs from any region. I'm sure there are Windows/OS X solutions too.
Huge chunks of PA are pretty poor too and it has the second highest number of old people in the state. It just can't afford to raise its income tax otherwise it almost certainly would.
I agree it's not just taxes. I'd say the draw to Texas will probably be taxes, less regulation but also the already built up of tech companies, the oil money, the energy companies and it's still close to California. Companies will stay there too after the state starts raising taxes which will be almost certain.
The UK is better in the airports but bouncers and mall security people can still be larger twats than your average person.
Xrays aren't mandatory in the UK (at least now). I had the choice in 2007 and just a standard metal detector / pat down 2 months ago.

I totally agree and I'm working on that. I think if I want to retire early as well that'll only happen if I work for myself.

Apple has cornered the market in computers. Nothing can be done.
According to one of the replies to my comment the damage can affect the driving.

Thanks for that info. I'm glad they're taking a step in what I would consider the right direction.

For some people being happy in your job means a lot.
GT5 has visual damage unlike previous titles but I believe it doesn't affect driving.

wxPython and Python will do that.

Would he happen to be @thrownchair or @flyingofficefurniture?

Which doesn't mean New Vegas didn't create the bug.
