  1. More to come... on New Gameboy Announced · · Score: 5, Informative

There is another press conference coming in NY between 9am-11am EST. It isn't know at this time what they are announcing. It is believed that the GBA SP will be announced for the US (since this conference is being held by NOA). Hopefully we hear more than just about GBASP (though I can't wait to buy one of um!)

No...your math is correct, but I would like to know what internet service provider you have that offers you more than 1.5Mbps (or about 192KBps as you evaluated). My current provider offers 512Kbps down and 128Kbps up be default (I am going to start paying more and get 1Mbps down and 512Kbps up). so 1.5Mbps down is GREAT for $17 per month. And then I would like to know what T1's you have been using that offer up 1.5MBps? Cause none of the ones I have ever dealt with do ;)

People have a perfect right to close source their poject if that is what they decided to do. I am very happy that Nvidia is supporting Linux. I love their drivers. Quake 3 Arena and UT2K3 run really fast. All my little opengl apps I using to learn runs flawlessly. Continue the great work Nvidia...close source your drive if you want or if you are required to by other agreements. Please stop whinning everyone, be glad we are getting good solid support!

  5. Famistu seems to disagree on Miyamoto vs. Everyone Else · · Score: 2

Famitsu is the for most video game magazine in JPN (and many would say the world). They have four reviews score games on a 1-10 scale and total that for the final score. The perfect score is a 40 in their scale (I really hope you could have figured that out without my telling you). Famitsu has been doing this since 1993 and has only given out FOUR 40's in their time. One of them was to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time....another was given in just the last week to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Miyamato has 50% of the perfect scores given out by them. Every title he has even fully produced has always gotten their highest esteem. Why is this? Because he greats games that are epic. He creates games that are revolutionary. But most imporantly he creates games that are just plain fun to play. Doesn't matter if you are 10 years old or if you are 100 years old. I am a 21 year old gamer and bought my Cube mostly because of him. Glad I did because there are so many great games not by him as well ;)

Here is a list...and this list is in no way complete: 1) OpenGL: 2D and 3D graphics 2) SDL: 2D graphics, 3D rendering context's, sound, input management and more ;) 3) OpenAL: 3D positional audio or just stereo too! 7. Re:Could be called the "shaft Sony" merger on Square To Merge With Enix · · Score: 2

The falling out between Square and Nintendo was based more on Nintendo's not going with a CD format (they want CG's) and that Nintendo basically said they could have done a better job with Super Mario RPG than Square did. Just thought I would mention those points.

  8. Sony lossing control slowly??? on Square To Merge With Enix · · Score: 1, Redundant

What does this mean for Sony's control over Squaresoft? They had a 20% stack in the company but now their stack should be much smaller (since Enix is worth more as a company they don't even have 10% I would assume). Does this basically nullify the pseudo exclusive rights that Sony has on Square? Does this mean we will finally see more development for other platforms from Square/Enix (for my lovely Gamecube please)? I think the options are very interesting!

Metroid Prime doesn't use this feature at all. It uses the GBA->GCN link cable if you have Metroid Fusion for the GBA. If you beet Fusion and link it to Prime you can play the original Metroid on your GCN. If you beat Prime and link with Fusion you can play Prime in the Fusion outfit. This actually won't be possible with this new add-on since you will already have the GBA Emulator GOD in the GCN.

This device seems like it would have very limited uses. When I am using my computer for work and play I normally don't have my left hand dedicated to my mouse (like right now, I am typing with it). It is nice to just lay my hand right on top of the mouse and be ready to go. With this I would actually have to pick it up and that would take just a second longer, but it would be enough to irritate I think. Any application where you use your hand exculsivly for your mouse (or 90% of the time atleast) might be a use for this, but then there is a question of control. Do I get fine precision with this new airborne mouse? I have to think I wouldn't...but I don't honestly know.

  25. A few things to set you all straight on Microsoft Buys Rare · · Score: 2

First and foremost, we will NEVER see a DK game on the Xbox. DK is owned wholey by Nintendo. The same goes for Star Fox. Nintendo owns these franchises and will never let them go. As for anyother game by Rare, all their recent games have been floops. There games since Goldeneye have been: DK64, Jet Force Gemini, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark. While some will say each of these games where great none of them sold well. Goldeneye eye was Rare's last great title. The fact that their newest game (Star Fox Adventure) took them this long (even starting as an n64 projected called Dinosaur Planet) should only tell people how bad they have gotten. They have had Cube dev kits longer than most any second party that Nintendo has and it took them this long to make a 20 hour game. Have fun with Microsoft Rare, you surely aren't needed by Nintendo and soon the Xbox crowd will get used to your massive delays and lack of strong selling titles.
