there are also areas where everyone are experts but have different views. Like with famous "endless image contention" in "Human Anus" article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
I still wonder why instead of current economic sanctions on Russia, USA did not enforce "cut all BGP traffic to Russia; if 3rd country operator transfers BGP traffic for Russia, it gets cut away". Just like in 2001 they forced nearly all nations to join "battle on terrorism". It would be much more efficient, resulting in: - cutting Russian hackers - cuttting Russian troll factories influencing US politics - cutting Russian espionage Just profit. Losses minimal compared to profits.
With China such sanction would be more difficult, on the other hand it would make making business with China much more diffiult, so easier to replace Chinese products with local ones.
I don't have iphone 7 experience, but I find LG G4 (H815) cam superior to iphone 6s cam. There are full auto / basic settings, but also - manual, with shutter times (ranging from 1/2000th to 30 seconds), EV, white balance in wide range of temperatures, manual focus. Quality of the lens and sensor is also very good.
in Poland there's extra charge if you pay your local taxes by card, in the municipal office. I bet Visa/Master can't do shit about it - either they accept these extra ~2% or there's no card acceptance in public offices. Some online shops also add charge if one pays with card. However, payment by e-banking or local e-payment processor is usually without extra charges.
opinion from outside the USA: both options are scary. But while Hilary is likely to "only" make wars in predictable places like Middle East so SE Asia, Trump seems like the guy who would for example make alliance Russia to nuke China, sacrificing Europe for Russian support.
I mean, many past presidents were horrible scum and liars; but DT makes no slightest trace of consistency, he denies obvious facts, invents stats etc.
> I'm concerned if you're not using encryption on your network. If you are, those devices aren't doing anything of the sort.
I do use it, and I'm not telling about wifi. But... if they made custom stack (not 802.x whatever), even not tcp/ip but completely obfuscated p2p protocol - it they sell billions bulbs, theoretically they could send "delayed command of death" and suddenly large chunk of Europe/USA comes to dark ages. (Or even a special wave shape in AC power supply may be such signal).
Also think about controls in power grid and power plants in scenario similar to Stuxnet action in Iran. Think about controls of the dams. These would be isolated from internet; but may wait for the right signal eg. transmitted on FM/AM or from satellite.
surely you control firmware. But do you control electronic components? Sure, that there are no "hidden few hundred lines of code" in electronics, that would overlay whatever there is in firmware or software?
how naive... This is not about racism. Whether you accept it or not, China and Russia have now real motivation to go into some sort of conflict with USA and UE. Just read recent RAND Corporation's "War with China". Now, China remotely turning off everything they could in USA and UE: from PCs, routers to controls in power plants it reasonable and possible scenarion if war happends. And NSA turning these off in USA simply makes no sense.
As written earlier: I'm not 100% sure that Chinese led bulbs don't have some hidden "features".
exactly! I'm concerned if regular LED bulbs (not the wifi-enabled ones) don't have hidden functionalities, such as sending sound or images over wireless network or becoming bricked on command from China. So any router, smartphone, security cam etc are even more suspicious. Sure, "Western" brands also produce in China, but at least - theoretically - they control their products. In case of chinese brand + chinese design + chinese manufacturing option of "bricked on command" may be quite viable war scenario.
Idea with higher priority: use some software, such as "WSUS Offline Update" to make a backup of past patches, so when you reinstall, you get Win7 patched as for mid-2016, and not 2006 nor Win10.
actually, a single solution for bovine-generated methane (for example - a bacteria lowering emission) would have much cheaper "per unit" cost than "fixing" the next factory.
It matters exactly by 5, 10 or 20% when his wife has "bad news", which travel >1.0c. With this exctra few feet of cable, signal from PC might arrive just after wife had stolen the moment with "Seems there's snow on the driveway, please clean it before you play"
Just after getting married it probably the last "major new setting of rules".
If the PPer want's to stand strong for something that is important in his life, this is the right moment. After all, that's exactly what his spouse is trying to do - kick gaming from her view. The living case of "I'll format him when we get married". If he is ok with that - he should listen to the first poster. If he's not - he should set some rules / code of conduct with her. For example this may consist of: 1) week days and annual days (eg. their anniversary) without gaming 2) things that should be done before around home he could begin gaming 3) no interrupting him every 2 minutes where there is no major fire 4) "magic escape word" for both - for emergency, where she REALLY needs him / where he REALLY needs half an hour resetting his brain 5)....

more energy to the atmosphere means more turbulence. On Jupiter there are huge storms and vortexes, on Neptune there are few

exactly, the survivorship bias. Like https://xkcd.com/1827/
so twitter is doomed, after it has blocked API access to many apps and for alternative clients .... some 5 or 6 years ago?
I think I still have their 3.5" fd somewhere ... and I live a few thsd miles from the US.

Set the desired white balance/temperature at night time and you don't need any glasses.

if you like ABP, give a try for "ublock origin" (not "ublock"). Much less maintenance, just works better.
Writing to you from country with the highest usage of adblockers in the world.
just use "wsus offline client" and make yourself an archive of KB's and installation script.

you could always import; just as some people from Europe do with american cars.
Or with european cars when there is right EURUSD rate (like in 2007)

look in this discussion for my post on Hugo Steinhaus. There is a good algorithm for splitting number of various things between any number of people.
what's the problem here? Just use disposable email addresses. Eg a browser plugin, Donottrackme.
