Selling a specific accessible 'bandwidth' of internet access and then throttling it is not a fair business practice. Even if the terms of service include an allowance for such throttling, the provider should clearly and explicitly make sure the buyer understands such controls. Otherwise, you have buyers like myself who pay for 6mbit wondering why we are not getting 6mbit 24/7, 365. Thats what I bought, just as it was advertised. 6mbit internet access. It didn't read an ad saying 'sometimes 6mbit, mostly 3, and if you use it a lot, then almost none'. For an ISP to advertise a product one way, then provide the product differently is disingenuous and debateably illegal.

Without substantial evidence, the RIAA is merely throwing litigious paperwork around at tons of innocent people. When will our government establish a recourse for recurring wrongful litigious activity? The ability to sue, blame, and then settle out of court is being so heavily exploited because lawyers know that most people would rather settle than pay the $$$ to prove themselves innocent. We need to either: 1) Not allow settling, thus making false accusations apparent, and thus the obvious waste of our judicial resources. This would be the cause of an impending need to reform and disallow repeat false accusers. or 2) Allow individual accusers or accusing bodies (such as the RIAA) a limited amount of legal cases, for which an appeal must be done to be allowed more.

Example? 90% of people polled in the US are against eating meat from a cloned cow. This is ignorant, as they do not even realize that most the fruit they are eating is cloned fruit. They also fail to realize that aside from the first moments of producing the clone, the life-form is as equally viable as its parent. I'm starting to notice that education for the majority is failing to keep up with the minority of people actually doing progressive research. This is a problem, as our populous will not make educated decisions and will react wrongly simply due to not knowing what is actually going on. Hell, most people in modern nations are not even aware of the physics that are applied to producing all their cool techno-goodies. Time to start investing in schools or coming up with corrals for the sheeple, while the masters make progress.

The FDA reads, analyzes, and makes determinations largely based on research done by the company that produced the drug. Why is that a problem? When research is done by those that profit, and deciding members of the FDA also stand to profit, then it will be $$$ at the fore with safety at the aft. Long story short. The FDA is a joke.
