WHY DOES AN INCOMING TEXT HAVE A FEE ANYWAY!!?!?!?!? If anyone can send you a text, and you do not choose which texts you prefer, how can there be a fee? I've received a few texts that were basically phishing or some other form of scam, and those were billed to me. Imagine if (at $.15 a pop) 100 people sent you texts you didn't solicit; thats $15 you never asked to pay nor wanted the phone company to facilitate. This country has cancer, and its called CAPITALISM. Yes, capitalism works great in many ways, but it is not the answer to our problems, nor is it the soil from which anything related to trust or ethics should be planted. Capitalism is great, but we really need solid establishments and restrictions on exactly how and when various acts of capitalism can occur; our current system is failing us and our politicians are too easily 'lobbied' to ignore us.
You don't know what you're talking about. The Chinese have a brigade-sized element of hackers trained and exercising attacks throughout the globe. If you don't know this, go find out, I'm not lying. Furthermore, you need to look up what the act of espionage is, how such acts are conducted, and what a spy is; your concept is much like the fantasy "james bond" idea that is completely untrue and operationally implausible. Start googling.
More lawsuits! We don't need a good reason, we don't even need evidence, but we can definitely expect lawsuits./ban *.lawyer (reason: facilitating embarrassing activity)
Your speculation is meaningless without any facts. Syria would have been a much better target than Iraq in the first place, not because they would develop nuclear capabilities, but because they actually have state-sponsorship histories of terrorism.
Look up Prescott Bush, and his involvement in an attempt to overthrow FDR and instill a corporate-controlled dictatorship. His whole family has been involved in undermining our very country for nearly a century now and you think he's not a liar? Do some reading before you start blaming media and the democratic party for things that are going wrong.
I have to reply to myself to clarify things. I was not trolling, I was asking a question. I am interested, since he is a man of questionable character with questionable intent.
Thank the Slashdot Admins for poor labeling. Then a guy who says "Never. Because crimes are only for the poor." as INSIGHTFUL, as if low socioeconomic status is where criminals are found. Far from truth, and far from insightful.
I agree. No cheetos or buttery popcorn around the computer anymore, thats for sure. This whole thing looks gimmicky anyway, nothing worth talking about.
As a white guy, I just want to vote for somebody who looks like me. Is that so hard to understand? It isn't hard to understand, I blame the education system and poor family values in America.
I agree, and you did pose an equally ironic argument. I feel bad for the people of the countries we 'lean on' and the way we force them to change. Don't blame me, though, I support Ron Paul.
Let me patch a 1/8" cable from my output to my input (or do it virtually) and run a Sound Recorder.
So much for 'rent', lol.
@Music/RIAA: The war is futile, quit wasting money and resources fighting the inevitable. Your war ends when you give up, you are outnumbered by a majority that disagrees, in time this majority will be the majority that votes. Quit now while you've still got genitals.
...for us to establish serious penalties for invalid litigious activity. The fact that everyone is suing everyone, for money, sickens me, and is an extreme waste of our judicial resources. Add traffic violations that are not in line with the 'intent' (and thus the constitutional explanation for the law), and you've got a glaring systematic problem.
Back in the late 90s I recall Singapore being the wild-west of the internet. It was well known that because Singapore did not care to enforce software piracy protections, that warez were openly available on singapore FTP/WWW servers. I was even told that you could buy CDs loaded with pirated software out of vending machines for a few dollars.
------
And now a firm from Singapore wants their patents and properties protected. How ironic.
No it isn't. Just like the patriot act and the whole DHS. A complete joke. Every necessary aspect of protecting Americans against terrorism existed before 9/11. I know this, as I worked that field before, during, and after.
What is occurring is not a matter of new important laws, but rather an expansion of power to a point beyond civil rights and due process; a point from which a government loses its regard for its electing populous, oversteps its bounds, and in time is driven to revolution or collapse once that population has had enough.
If he's an illegal immigrant, I don't care if he gets his head blown off. He is on property he is not legally allowed to be on and he needs to be gone. There is no need to think, question, or contemplate a deeper or justified purpose behind deportation; the answer is simple: REMOVE THOSE THAT DO NOT BELONG.
And no, I'm not a gun-totin conservative. But I will assert that if a person is in a country illegally, they *should* fear for their life because they could disappear, be eaten, or used as a slave, and they are not AT HOME to be protected nor deserve protection. Even in deporting them, they use resources that are not allotted to their person.
I'd say give it a week, maybe a quarter.
Crackers are awe-inspiring, and I have no doubt that someone internal to the design of this 'trick' will take part in the process of cracking it.
Exactly. Authorities need to get some evidence together before they start throwing their power trips around. Reading and/or knowing information is not enough; maybe its enough to pay attention and look for deeper evidence, but to arrest without any implication of questionable affiliation or activity? Please....
When will we get a notion of priority in this sick world? We've got so many issues in this world, much to do with security and protection; Please tell me why pirated music will take priority when our current ACTUAL border security is a joke? I'm imagining a scene where some guy is getting shook down for copied music while hoodlums rape a woman nearby unquestioned. Lets get a list of frikkin priorities here.
nobody owes you a perfect environment, especially when you are born with a rare allergy. Take it far enough, and babies that are born virtually incapable of living will be a litigious crutch for parents who want to make everyone else responsible for the success of their baby with no recall that NATURE IS SUPPOSED TO TRIM THE UNFIT OUT.
Don't fight nature and don't assume that just because you're a failed mutant that everyone owes you money for your troubles. How about we offer nature for your troubles? Check Darwin for answers. We civilized people have fought nature so hard that when the time comes for nature to push back, she will push HARD.
If it was better than Windows it would be the major operating system of computer users. It is not. We can compare short term products, such as the newest MAC OS or the failed Vista, but in the long term, Microsoft > Apple. Apple will not score the majority without having the dynamics that the majority desires.
Hell, my phone can do e-mail and watch videos. What would I need an apple for? A calculator? Music player? Please... My phone can do all that as well.
I agree. I almost never hold my laptop with one hand. This idea and patent are a waste of time, as the future will show us.
You should get a Score: 5 "Realistic"

You've made it very clear. It is time for a serious change.

So, when does Murdoch go on trial?

If this was a secret, you wouldn't know about it.

Information is information. Ammunition is ammunition. Don't be too vague if you're going to attempt to say something.
