Unless I'm very much mistaken, if you were standing on the moon, the earth would appear to be fixed in place in the sky. If you start from the far side and then run towards the near side, you'll see an earthrise. Run backwards to see an earthset.

A diamond is just a carbon crystal. Regardless if it was dug up from the ground or made in a lab.
Fortunately most of Usenet is such a cespool that really they can only make it better.

As well as ignoring the costs of fighting it, if you also ignore the costs of hardware and network traffic, the cost of spam is zero!
Would improve usenet service a lot.
NTL have done a good thing. Usenet is a very poor medium for publishing large files, but it is an excellent medium for discussion groups.
If you want to publish large files, stick it on a web site. Don't make ordinary usenet servers carry the burden.
