Wow, an account that exemplifies moderation gaming. Tell me, do you do all of your work from a single computer at your house or do you have more professional tools?

Go on and tell me that Safari on Windows is somehow a bigger dissaster than Windows on it's own. If Windows allows remote code execution, anything can be used to load and run remote code, including the built in ftp client. Do you think of the Windows ftp client as a "Carpet Bomb" risk or is this pure marketing bullshit?

The way Microsoft is alienating their lower-end customers like this is so tragic it's funny.

That implies the existence of something other than a low end Microsoft customer. Isn't it all the same expensive and buggy experience, or do you end up smoking crack to keep up with it all?

They works so hard there. One half of the M$ Linux Labs is combing through upstream source code for exploitable malice. They would love to report such things, through a proxy of course. The other half is busy writing malicious code to give to their moles. Given the relatively quite world of GNU/Linux, the M$ Linux lab is about as successful as Vista, Zune, M$TV, SCO, "Get the Facts" and a host of other evil ventures.

Seriously, free software has existed in a transparent way for more than 25 years because that transparency is the best guard against malice.

  25. Total invasion of privacy on A Guardian Angel In Your Cell Phone · · Score: 1, Insightful

Almost all of the safety information it can serve should be public record except who the people around you are - which makes the device useless. Free software in phones, the RFID guardian and other good technology should come to the rescue if laws don't. Only Bill Gates would think he has a right to card and track everyone then sell the results to the highest bidder but that's where his EULAs go and the asymmetry of information access will errode your rights until there is nothing left. Transparency for public records that should be kept along with laws to protect privacy in public will make this abomination of a patent worthless if the patent office does not throw it out with all software and business method patents.
