Of course I could be wrong maybe the moderator read the post and thought it should be moderatated down. If this was the case troll, flaimbait, or overrated would all be better choices. Also if the moderator thought this guy was a flaming idiot and couldn't be more wrong a post detailing exactly how he was wrong would be a better option than any moderation.
Ender's game was an increadable book. Speaker for the dead was even better despite the fact that it didn't have little kids beating each other up, which seems to turn alot of people off. Xenocide and Children of the Mind were ok but nothing really special. Then Card comes out with Ender's Shadow and even though it was a good book I got the feeling Card was writing for money. This new book comfirms my suspicions.
There is also the problem of differing library versions.
Mozilla was a pain to install on Caldera 2.3 because I had to change quite a few libraries so I would have the exact same version that the developement team was compiling under. Updating libjpeg was especially fun because plain old./configure wouldn't cut it and it took me a bit to figure out I needed./configure -s(or something like that)
With Redhat 6.2 getting mozilla to work was as simple as tar xvfz.
Am I the only one who thinks sub-vocalization would be neat? All the advantages( are there any? ) with less of the gross stupidity that comes from yelling at your PDA.
Now that I think about it there is probably much more talk about gun violence and kids shooting kids on anti-gun sites that on gun sites such as the NRA.
From reading the review I get the impression that the book is more about ideas and that plotline and characters are almost irrelevant. As for the point of the book Much of his writing concerns the concept of "true community" and his belief that humanity, as it currently exists, has no real capacity for a genuine understanding of truth.
Besides I like it when reviews arn't filled with spoilers.
that when you buy a car the company is making money from the sale. Same thing with Dell.
With the I-Opener they lose money on each sale and make money from the service contract. Like someone else said it's just like cell phones. You can get one real cheap and be locked into a contract or you can PAY LOT MORE and get something you can do what you want with.

I believe it's really a question of does free will exist or is everything the result of stimulus-response. "Nurture" has nothing to do with free will and our response to "nurture" could be called a function of our genetics.
I'm currently using an old Packard Bell/me "hangs head in shame" keyboard that's probably 10 years old just because it doesn't have Windows keys. btw Where is the correct location for the backslash key?
I've always been a fan of turning the power to the room on and off and then running around the room smacking x to skip scandisk. If that isn't your thing there is always Ctrl-Alt-Del, Ctrl-Alt-Del
I fail to see how you make the connection between a "bad" Katz article and VA buying andover.net. Katz was posting stuff the people didn't like long before VA. In fact he's done movie reviews before. Also each Katz post doesn't equal one less post by someone else so just ignore posts by Katz if you don't like him.
Looking at 3 different clocks it appears to be 3:38 PM(EST) and this article wasn't here 10 minutes ago so how was this posted at 4:17 PM? Even taking different timezones into account I don't see how it's possible because the article should be off by an even number of hours.
I agree that that statement was pretty damn arrogant. However those are not Hemos' words they are from the person who submitted the story to slashdot.
Having roms for MAME is illegal unless you own the original.
I do have a rather large collection of MAME roms but I still think it's nice of midway to let people play them legally for free
What would have been really cool is if MAME released the roms.
Another nice place for roms is www.arcadeathome.com

Using directx
I'm assuming he's refering to the Nomad that looks like a CD player and has a 6gig hd.
I hate to say it but Ender's Game is somewhat juvenille. It's still a very enjoyable book though, just like the matrix was an entertaining movie.

If I had moderation points I'd give ya some karma ;-)
There also was a "performance artist" who's art work was masterbaition.
In addition to the cost factor they probably wante to go with a chip that is on the market.

All this talk of SPAM is making me hungry.
Free publicity on slashdot can't hurt it's chances of success. When was the last time Allegiance had a slashdot headlide?
At my local ISP one kid has the unfortunate habit of telling people to reinstall windows.

And other people are just plain rude. I don't really think it would hurt you too much to show some respect for other people.

This guy supports my theory that people who say stuff like Macintrash or Macrohard are nothing but trolls.
