At first I thought your post was going to argue against excessive child proofing.

Is it possible the only reason the child decided to drink the bleach was because they'd never been able to get into cupboards before? Maybe if their home wasn't excessively sanitized they wouldn't drink everything they came across.

Not being a parent, I don't know if that's too much to ask from a 3 year old.

Transmission losses are one of the biggest arguments in heating the home with gas vs. electric, since with gas you're getting 100% of the avalible heat from the fuel, as opposed to electric where at most 90% of the heat is converted into electricity at the plant, you lose another 7% in transmission and then another 1-2% in the heater itself = 18-19% energy loss from a coal or natural gas power plant vs. heating with gas in the home.

You've got the right idea but your numbers are way off.

A modern large CCGT plant might push 60% efficiency. With transmission losses energy loss is close to 50%.

I don't understand how the total size of the US has anything to do with the broadband penetration in its highly populated cities.

The world is a sparsely populated space, and yet certain highly populated countries manage to set up efficient broadband networks.

What's stopping, say, the state of Massachussets from implementing its own broadband network.

Is there perhaps some sort of regulation that requires equal pricing accrss the country? I could understand how this would require higher profit areas (cities) to subsidize lower profit areas (rural areas).

Secondly, the stamina cost was decreased going from 60-70, so entry level 70 tanking gear was much better than lvl 60 gear.
