    I think it's pretty obvious. Why use a whole 64 bits when to represent 4? You should probably just use three bits. 100. That's why machines today are so slow... All these wasted bits.

    5-10 year patents on physical gizmos might be okay. But the patent application process needs to not be willy nilly approval.

    The (admittedly 'unproductive') pattern recognition and analytical processing involved in bejeweled is still more significant than watching commercials with NASCAR or sitcom breaks.

    With Bejeweled you're using your brain for problem solving. With TV you're not doing anything. You're just sitting on the couch like a very warm potato.

    There are a LOT of WoW players who average more than 2 hours a day. When I played I averaged 3 hours a day. This guy enjoyed bejeweled and came home and played Bejeweled after work. A lot of americans watch about that much TV per day and they're not even posting a high score. Healthy? No. Worse than a typical high end raider in WoW? No. Worse than a typical American watching TV? No.

    It doesn't seem like having users enter their credit card to check if it's been stolen is a good idea. All it takes is the site getting hacked and viola! Real stealing on every query!

    It pisses me off too, because I am a very discriminating consumer. I have companies that are on my shit list because of something they've done. It's actually at the point where I don't buy half the items in the grocery store for moral reasons (Juicy Juice is off my shopping list because Nestle consumes human slavery and pretends it's not their fault). If other people would pick a few companies a year to abstain from purchasing from for moral reasons, I would have a better world. Lazy fucks. : (
