Same here man, still waiting for it to be released. Linux is sorta crazy on my system now, and could use a nice fresh install and some cleaning. So I figured it might as well switch from redhat 5.2 to debian 2.2.
I just noticed something wierd, comments was mispelled "commnts" and the name of the file its linked to is spelled commets. Something weird there, or am I being paranoid. Anyway, do I get brownie points for pointing out this oddity, or just flamed?
I never thought S3 what that big of a company. I always thought diamond multimedia was much bigger. Where are these companies getting money?.....are they pulling it out of their ass? Send down the flames.
I myself am not so sure that the size of a brain would make it more sufficient or smarter. For instance, look at some old XT hard drive, its substantially larger than my quantum 8.5GB im using now, and store and speed are horrible in contrast. Plus, a friend of mine has a HUGE head, and a large brain. Good 'ol BigHead just never learns though, and is a pain in the ass, and not the smartiest kid ( although he acts like he is ).
Cloning in my opinion is NOT a good thing, too many downsides. First of all, a lot of people wouldn't like the idea of being an artificial clone. Second, imagine, Bill Gates, cloned, and cloned again, living F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I constantly have nightmares about that, he's rich enough to have his own cloning labratory and already have clones. It may sound like science fiction, but what if he already died 3 times and no one knows?!?! Think about it.
Yea, this outta be a big hit. Aren't one of the main reasons java has become so popular is because it runs on every/almost-every platform? And as for these companies, is it just me or does it seem that company's are like dogs? You have to train them, NO NO , port, P-O-R-T, no proprietary, NO!
I personally think that this is ridicilous. It should NOT be the isp's fault for someone else's content. That is like holding the a state or town responsible for something that one person/home does. Punish the actual offender, not the host.
I just want to set a few people straight. Yes, first of all of you are not going to purchase something in the first place it doesn't hurt anyone. Second, it doesn't directly hurt anyone for "labor" like some people compared to a car mechanic, because the developer doesn't even know and doesn't have to work to make a copy for you, but it can hurt developer's. Most people I know purchase the games and stuff they can afford and will use, and pirate the rest.
Now thats fast! All I ever wanted is freakin cable modems to be available in my town, which they still aren't. Garden State Cable, if you are reading this you SUCK.
Looks sweet. I will have to get it right away. The 1.1 devel series was pretty nice, damn instability was the only problem. I like the gimp more than photoshop now after ive used it so much.
I don't want to use cd-r cds ( I have a cd-r ) for a few reasons, first of all, it skips, second, its bulky.....I want to listen to high quality music while riding my bike, and hitting the trails, without it skipping.
You have made many interesting points, but I just want to point one thing out. If you have played half-life you have probably noticed that you have a choice of running it in Direct3D or OpenGL. My friend chooses to run it in OpenGL simply because it looks and runs better. So I don't know about "It would cost millions and years of rewriting code in opengl for it to be ported to linux". Btw, DirectseX can eat my balls, I always liked OpenGL more. Just my too sense.
I think lucas is turning on all of us, if this is true of course. I wish a new spaceballs would come out, heh if they do use leo, imagine how great spaceballs II - the search for more money, would be. What is the world coming to now adays? The answer is eventual, enternal, hell.

Hopefully they will fix some of the obvious memory leaks in XFree86. Like the XWrapper eatin my memory like I eat fried chicken.
