    Agreed, thats why civilised countries dont have elections for judges and chief prosecutors.
    In .au the govt appoints the judges/prosecutors and I dont remeber any significant problems with this approach.

    I have to agree. Some years ago in my part of Australia the statute of limitations on child sex abuse crimes was removed. One friend of mine particularly, had suffered terrible abuse, and WAS coping OK. The changes made her
    relive the horrible experinces that she had more or less forgotten. To this day she has not been able to
    relate the events to police, and so has no closure. Had the law not been changed she would be better off.

    Pilots the US end a transmission with their plane's tail number, not "over."

    Many countries have aplha designators for their aircraft. Here in Aust, we end the transmission with the name of the area in question.

    And I grew up a soccer fan in my early years. When I started to watch Aussie rules, soccer just became a lame boring waste of space to me.

    The biggest issue is babies too young to be vaccinated, can die of these diseases when passed form their older siiblings. Herd immunity is the only way to protect the very young.

    Quite correct, these same issues were raised when LPG tanks became populr here, but it is very rare for one to be ruptured, they have to be damn strong just to work, in most cases stronger than any object they are attached to or hit by.

    Yeh they sure did. My dear late friend Harry had a big Citroen Pallas, and when the hydraulics failed he ran up the back of the same car twice. Once originally and again when they pulled over to exchange details, the car in front braked too quickly AGAIN and Harry ran up the back of it once more!
