Perhaps his moral reluctance was not at the concept of porn, but what the industry has become and what ot does to people.

(full disclosure, I am not now, nor have ever worked in the porn industry, much to the relief of porn viewers everywhere)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no designed reason why we have a two party system. It just evolved that way. I suspect as more and more people get pissed with the two party candidates (which I have never seen so bad as this year, it seems nobody is voting FOR either of these clowns, just against the other clown), then we will see it evolve into a multi party system. We may be seeing the beginning of that now.

All that good work in getting funding was almost put to waste when he decided that US citizens and companies should only have access to broken, fed created encryption and that all private research and development on encryption should be made illegal.

His "betrayal" of the US citizens and attempt (basically) to drive all tech companies out of the US was a major reason I voted against him.

Well, arguably depending on your age you may have never seen a real presidential debate. since 1988 they have been little more than staged press releases.

I've seen many debates on a smaller scale that involved more than two people, and they worked fine. I agree there has to be some arbitrary limit, but 2 seems awfully restrictive, especially when you take into account the two total losers we ended up with. 3 or 4 would at least give you better odds on seeing someone actually worth voting for, rather than against.

The beauty of it is that he won't need the conservative base to be voting for him, they will be to busy voting against Hillary to notice who they are voting for. She will not win, and in no small part to her abrasive and "cold" attitude. Carville will never be president for the same reason (and Dole lost big on this too).

The DNC completely missed this point when they put Kerry up instead of someone like Clark. The hard core left will vote for whoever they put up against Bush, because they want him out of office more than anything. It is the middle ground they forgot (and need). It is too easy to characterize (and not without good reason) Kerry as a way-left, nutball liberal, which turns off moderates.

Also keep in mind that moderate does not mean "ambilavant" or "soft on issues", it usually means that someone has several strongly held views from both sides of the spectrum, and has to almost tally them up and weight them to see which candidate supports the bulk of their beliefs about how the country should be managed.

If instead of downloading the latest NSync single all of these people were spending their time campaigning against the state of music IP (or at least searching out non RIAA music to support) they would be making a real difference.

We have a huge population who feel that digital music cannot and should not be treated as legal property, however instead of doing anything meaningful to solve that problem they are just ignoring the laws and bitching when they get caught.

A few people have had their lives ruined by being falsely accused (and convicted) of pretty much every crime ranging from burglary to murder. Should we stop going after these criminals too?

Sorry, I have the utmost sympathy for those few who were wrongfully accused, however I have no sympathy for those who are flagrantly breaking the law then whining about getting caught. Going after the people illegally sharing copywritten material is the correct action to take, IMO. MUCH better than going after the tools and the authors of the tools which may or may not be used illegally.
