    You know (I don't agree one bit), but the same reasoning could be used by the BSA

    Do *you* like getting your software stolen and distributed for free? I certainly don't. I think using ISP logs to catch bad internet users that download copyrighted, cracked software is a public service.

    That's exactly what I do.... except for I can't get myself to run Steam (or any application for that matter) without properly 'installing'. It's Windows... you never know.

    Just an FYI every time I reformat, I just backup all the .gcf files in Steam\steamapps except for winui.gcf and plunk them back into the folder once I install Steam again. It's worked for the past three years for me... no activation... no nada.

    The reason I think that these issues are more apparent in Japan is the humidity levels over there. We are talking 30-40% tops in North America, and looking at 80-90% during peak summer periods in Japan.

    There must have been some 'under-the-table' business going on with the IOC and China for them to have been able to host the Olympics in the first place. China didn't even have the facilities in the first place, and even look at the pollution levels - it isn't an ideal place to hold the Olympics.
