the tv show about this is just plan depressing to me. but on the upside some good samples should come out of it well... 'why is that big man hitting the other man, i dont undersand'
Ummm, not the file system... the compressed folders (Windows 98 and up) have the ability to Zip folders and files just like Winzip does (only crappier interface)
maybe if that msn butterfly guy had a better stock option deal this wouldn't happen.
but seriously, isnt passport at fault here? i thought when services bought the passport signing service (like ebay) they bought some sort of snazzy security thing that people were up in arms about rights / privacy wise a while back.
the next windows virus should be a honeypot that does nothing but mockup the gnutella/ edonkey/ overnet protocols.
then we will see how these millions of dollars on lawyers was so well spent.
these people should concentrate on improving their products and not this crap.
this is all just paranoid hype to explain away why their stock prices suck so badly.
when actually there hasnt been a movie or a record made that i can think of in the last few years that given a few months of time isnt a waste of plastic to own. and if they are worth while, they are selling like crazy and the p2p systems dont really impact them (as if people arent going to buy the matrix on dvd *and* have the screener).
Those exclusives are a joke. Your telling me you cannot find them on other major websites?
As far as the commercially unavailable works (bootlegs and other rarities) those are things that, like i said, apple could negotiate themselves as either producers of or a licensers of the works. Since the works are stolen i nthe first place, lawyers could deal with who owns the work and deal with it from there.
I am thinking of the many Nirvana, NIN, etc music that people tend to 'gotta have' as fans as well as live performances.
I would assume since there is a large loss in quality that many people wouldnt want much to do with the bootlegs being in circulation. But a chance to make money is always a possible motivator.
apple should make an area of the store that is just bootlegs and live exclusives.
they should make a project to relicense (or whatever the term would be) these materials if they were illegal in the first place with the artist and apple as a publisher.
most people i know that want music off the web (eg, p2p) want stuff they cannot get else (rare)
the problem i have is that this style of input is that it transfers the labour of input motion from the wrists and lower arms to the lower arms and shoulder. especially with the dual input and fast small mtions.
if you suffer like i do, the referred pains after using this are terrible. now you feel pain arms shoulder and neck.
in my opinion its all about this product...
http://www.fingerworks.com/touchstream_products. ht ml... but its got its own price problem and it does take a while to use. but its unix friendly and the emacs movements are a real nice way of showing it off
how do these people expect to sell these products when at one point they say it plays mp3's and is a tuner. then in another seprate review it transmits music over radio.
the description on amazon (which the article links directly to) is abhorent.
i guess i really didnt have a position on the 'pay' factor other than i really dont want to pay at all.
i really HATE realplayer because of the adware that it became and media payer can be like that as well if you go nuts with using it for online content.
i can imagine it would get worse if there was shopping to be done within it.
how secure can this be for the people using it the way this is described? seems like its very apt to be very open to monitoring by vultures as it were.
how do you know the access point your using is actually the pay phone's?
i cannot imagine what all the samples for the psalm 69 album would have been. i gather he band didnt even keep track of all of them and when asked to start making a list for them they dumped the sampled entirely.
sounds like a good excuse for that crappy disc at anyrate.
The California Tomato Research Institute also has spent $236,000 on the experiment but backed off recently, deeming the technology not advanced enough for immediate use.
This excuse on its face doesnt make any sense at all to pull funding. Does anyone know more?
yeah, sadly i dont have access to one anymore.
does anyone know where i can get a copy of these wonderful phasers sound files of old ... wow ... memories
The depictions and references to 'game titles' and 'listings' is goofy. Do you think that they mean PacMan logo art here?
Seems like they could attack ebay and anyone that doesnt use personal photos of stuff could be in violation.
the tv show about this is just plan depressing to me. but on the upside some good samples should come out of it well ... 'why is that big man hitting the other man, i dont undersand'
correct, its the 're-release remastered roswell' documents.
Agreed, i even remember open group plugs in the OSX description of what Unix was and why its so niffty.
Ummm, not the file system ... the compressed folders (Windows 98 and up) have the ability to Zip folders and files just like Winzip does (only crappier interface)
not to mention that goofy 'compressed folder' crap in windows. maybe microsoft can growl or bark at this and cause another set of problems.
maybe if that msn butterfly guy had a better stock option deal this wouldn't happen.

I agree with your analysis of the touchstream products. However, I will wait until they come out with a programming interface for it.
what sort of interface would this be? do you want to make a special key-jitsu move that does a normal keybinding/mouse gesture -- if so yeah me too.
you could do some insane johnny mnemonic style interface tweaks.

i think he wasnt disputing that its an input device or that it works, but rather that its not a 'KEY+BOARD' as it lacks keys.
how do these people expect to sell these products when at one point they say it plays mp3's and is a tuner. then in another seprate review it transmits music over radio.

i wonder who they will appoint ... my the privacy czar example i cannot wait.

with this sort of innovation media payer will be unstoppable.
... dont think i am going to see that with media payer.
but seriously, i run itunes4 and share my collection out to people and theirs to me
i can disable the 'apple store' and it never shows up. as if media payer will give that option.
i could go on and on but then i would seem too anti microsoft, i must admit they have some nice codec support out there.
either way, the openrelay probe should react to the results of this and most dont.
i could have *@domain.com:username and the openrelay would still accuse me of having an open relay.
yeah, and that sucks when people insist you have relaying open because their script assumes it just because you didnt drop them.
what is the low end shopping list to print your own passable $20 bills with your pc?
i have seen photocopiers that do an excellent good job. but i assume that i cannot go to dell.com and get buy a system that will work can i?
how secure can this be for the people using it the way this is described? seems like its very apt to be very open to monitoring by vultures as it were.
