wont fund that project? perhaps they have a needless redunancy in their projects. i would think thats the case versus what seems to be a characterization of 'dropping support for linux'.
agreed... most of the people i work with that have them seem to have gotten them out of a cracker jack box... the msce stuff they should know they totally dont. i dont know what the testing procedure they go through is. nothing like i have experienced.
though this doesnt mean that the oracle stuff is stricter. i have my ocp and it wasnt easy.
this seems to cut out the 'testing' (with collaborative reporting) aspects of development. i use tons of software... play with configuring it and such... involved on the mailing lists. while i dont submit code changes. i doubt i can be cut out of the loop.
i also dont think its the same as just being a person who downloads IE6beta and runs it and clicks on 'submit error' everytime it crashes either. its a participatory and collaborative thing.
now nothing better than having virtual mboxes that allow me to look through all my gig's of mail via imap in under a second.
i can also organize the mail messages into folders but not move them... so 'all mesages with from or to these domains newer than 60 days in this folder' and 'all unread messages in this folder' and not have duplicated messages.
often these movies suck and i feel quite ripped off going to see them. all the hype on tv... the trailers are better than the movies themselves it seems.
i want this bootlet of starwars... and i will still get it if i cannot manage unil after the movie is out. frankly its pretty neat in some way especially to watch things until a dvd comes out.
more interesting is all the simpsons episodes out there, seinfelds, and god... who is ripping all of the friends espisodes? that just freaks me out high quality... must be a tivo user with a few terabytes.
if virtual pornography got through this doesnt have much chance. likely they just want a way to stick they hands out for some more cash from big business.

this seems to be a question thats has little to do with programming. typically one would hold that you should not use other people's authority (your employer) as an excuse to violate or exploit other people liberties (privacy).
i wonder how long it will be before a f1 driver is lost or something insane occurs with all the new software they have and the ability for the pits to communicate back to the cars now legally.
i would love to see the bug list that the teams a have accumulated already with the new launch control systems... 'changed permissions on steering wheel device... locked driver user out of ability to change back break balance'
i noticed that BAR/Honda has a job opportunity for NT embedded programmers (Windows CE) with msXML & Soap experience... oh my i can just see using BAR/Honda as a weapon to take out other drivers on the track. because they use some insecure microsoft shit in their cars.
homefully the embedded NT stuff was for something like a sophisticated training PDA instead of dealing with the car.
if you wanted to stop this they could redirect anything that a referred to their site to their homepage? unless it had no referrer and then they could let it though (to assume it was some non webbased email)
this will even effect your clubs webcast? all your streams are from you own place right? its not like your a 'radio' station.
i find it hard that every place i hear music now is going to be charged some sort of fee.
next dial-a-song will be taxed/licensed
you would do this via some xdb_auth_* mechanism such as sql or ldap.
i assume the clients could be blind to the fact of which jabberd process they were connected to if you used xdb_auth_sql and a system such as cisco distributed/local director.
Supports protocols HTTP, WebDAV, SMB, FTP, IMAP, and SMTP gives the ability to store, manage, and search documents, presentations, multimedia, Web pages, and XML files.
Also do Check-in/check-out, version control, and event notification features. Unlike most of the examples i have seen developers can extend these base features to build custom content management applications.
Makes sense... its not like you can adopt IRC, Y!, AOL/ICQ or MSN as your messaging platform.
Like the article says... "Jabber is one of the first companies to integrate wireless Instant Messaging using the robust, open APIs (Application Programming Interface) of Oracle9i Application Server, providing a solution for wireless carriers to integrate the IM application into their mobile enterprise portals and deliver messaging content to wireless devices. Jabber messages are XML fragments routed through the Jabber server to Oracle9i Application Server. Because the messages are already XML-based, Oracle9i Application Server can simply deliver them in the markup language of the intended recipient's mobile device. "
didn't something bad happen when they did this in futurama? or was that only when your in your space ship going warp speed?

i hope not ... using it right.

this thread was obsolete a long time ago.
... but i am out of a job.
Why would those boxes being checked stop them from using/selling the information? I am lost ... I assume they are just for for show anyways.
i am sorry ... i cannot get enough of them.

Oracle has a database based filesystem Internet File System/IFS that is pretty sweet.

Like the article says
They are incorporating Jabber into their application server not making it into one.
