still using win98 now is never going to upgrade, they've been dealing with the 9x/3.11 kernel for so long they don't know any different and probably never will!
it's a bit like strapping your nuts to a car battery over and over...

The exploit for WoW that takes advantage of the sony rootkit does *NOT* allow you to play for free. it is a 'bot' that plays your character automatically. The rootkit part is how it hides from WoW's active scanning of running processes.
good? their minidisc stuff was terrible. Their computers are gimmicky. memory stick was just a year early of every other freaking memory card onthe planet. ATRAC3? yeah ok, that's trash. the last time they did anything truly useful was the walkman.
in the one I almost ended up administering, they have a giant county-wide 10.x.x.x, with each school receiving a portion depending on its number of computers. from there, to access the internet, you hit an IIS machine, which is connected to the district's IIS machines. Those, in turn, have filtering software installed that does all the blocking.
I was able to bypass this with corkscrew and ssh tunneling, but that's not much of a bypass, sort of a sidestep.
despite having experienced exactly what you're discussing, I would prefer to have a 1.0 focus on API completeness rather than application compatibility.
Application compatibility is a neverending target, however, API completeness is a solid and realistic goal.
I want to see an Android phone with this moniker. "Hey, have you seen my HTC 4Q2?"
ftp over ssl can do virtual users. (as opposed to sftp, which is ftp over ssh)
btrfs isn't done yet, you'd be an idiot to use it for real data.
The on disk format will change sometime in the future, it is in the freaking help.
and just HOW else did you think they whoop Aquaman's butt?
Godzilla Bukkake?
eh; mainstream media screws this up all the time, seriously.
in south florida, during rush hour, I drive the opposite way of the rush and often see the majority of traffic (going my way) passing me by at +30.
that said, I'm in Florida, and it's um... different here?

This is said because unices, while they often share applications, often are completely different in their component parts.... among other things.

...but given the reports from Ohio during the Presidential election of roving Windows Buttons that would only accept a vote for Bush...
Excuse my french, but what the fuck is this? I've seen jokes like this online and perhaps written one, but on a voting machine? prove it.
btw, I do think Diebold's machines are probably corrupt, but your claim is ridiculous.
You must:
A.) Be new here.
and/or
B.) Be the only person here that cares about the ad-infested piece of molasses that msn.com is.
Seriously, there's a reason why Microsoft makes it the default homepage in Windows XP...

http://www.runtime.org/dixml.htm for a few machines or http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/true image/ for many.
The products have spoken for themselves for me, I use them exclusively. true image has a bartpe plugin, also.
True Image Server: $699.
True Image Enterprise: more, but worth it.
http://www.crc2003.250x.com/ although old, is also interesting.
I know that you were trying to partially be funny, but here's a (partial, I think) list of CDs with XCP on it... a few more than just Van Zant, no?

the ToughBook from panasonic looks like it would do the trick, though it's rather slow and expensive.
