    uhum, thats where the EU anti trust inquiry comes in, more money is needed for champagne and backpatting.

    will they be sueing yahoo and bing as well ? startpage? duckduckgo ? who else? crisis is gaining momentum at last, desperate measures, i think the worst has yet to come

    funny, if they got that much renewable energy why wast it on old combustion engines, why is everyone bent on having that continue i.o. looking for something new. Are we at the end with this how old is it? 200 years dated invention ? i dont know exactly how old is it? Doesnt matter to me, i always hope some 'genius' could come up with something radically new. Too much science fiction maybe.

    you wont spot the next mozart or chopin. If you do road construction you might not spot the next einstein and the greatest physicist in the world might be blind to the qualities of the greatest builder ever lived. I think you spot a genius by word of mouth. A bit like advertising ... but ... different. I dont think einstein got spotted as a genius before he checkmated a few people who then like spread the word a bit etcetera, might be the same in most cases

    i'd really like to see a german history book. I can get why they don't want anything to do with their past but it is the past. I really wonder how much fact and neo-fiction will be taught because of that. (no i dont condone extrimism, not right not left, or any other dimension for that matter)

    dont know about the US, i know you could put about anything in a contract here and have it signed in blood but if it conflicts with a previous law it would be nullified and pointless. I once got a landlord stating he could just come in at any time whenever he wanted to even if i wasnt there. I'm pretty sure stuff like that won't hold. As said below its more to ward of trollying ... or lobbying or what's it called, does it have a name? just sue whatever if half of them pays setllement you get your years worth in a few months ?

    anyone who falls for that kind of simple salespitch deserves it imo. I've yet to see any 'cloudbased' service offering something useful and better to the average end-user or what you call it. It's probably great for businesses and corporations since they can use the cost on their tax forms or something but otherwise it's just another subscription model. This one feels almost like they're selling mmo-crack, no?
    with the rise of the cloud (which is only a new word for an old concept) i wonder where is the clause in any law that says what happens to your data when the firm goes bankrupt or shuts down?

    uh i myself in darker times have been more than once stopped and frisked, even hauled of the house without any real proof, neighbours or everyone in the street watching. Last ones to complain about this should be fkun cops that's right.

    first rule of parenting : your kid can NEVER be scared to talk about anything at all, first thing you need to drill in, most important, never scared about anything. Never scared to come home no matter what happened. If you can't, you don't get a parenting license. That's where it all starts

    i think between the lines it's completely right, if it's a passion you'll spend more than just your working hours on it, that's all. If it's just a job you will never perform as well as someone who's passionate about it ... unless you're some kind of godsgiven evil genius perhaps. It's not factory work or lame-ass administrative deskjob, passion is possible in this case.

    i don't think there's really anything left to be saved. The rising dragon will eat us all, as it should be. What strikes me is how very democratically they choose what's best for you, keeping in mind the huge possible fine, but no public inquiries or referenda are being made as to what the end-user wants. I know in sysadmin-land this is probably also not a very popular statement but it shows once more how a particracy is not a democracy.
    maybe it's better baptised lobbycracy by now. You don't get the choice. They decide how you wipe your ass and what colour paper is available. Meanwhile stuff leaks on the EU has plans to snoop on everybody (i didnt read anything about opting out there)
    too much smoke and mirrors like this is what holds it all back. No one in their right minds would trust a central body like that to take over, which is a shame since a divided europe stands no chance at all but the way it's going, the domination of the elder control freaks, i dont think i want it either. Not like that

    i think in general it will strike an imbalance between scared panzy and clueless.     yea, that's pretty recent. Another example of the fine bravery of those we will tolerate at any cost. I get the impression our great leaders are just scared while about everyone else is getting sick and tired of the loudmouthing and threats. A volatile situation at best. Would be nice if the less fanatic muslims themselves would openly speak out against that idiocy but they seem to be just as scared as anyone else

    tuff one, theres a case here going on, a few hobbitons away from here where some guy pimped two daughters of his own girlfriend from about the age of eleven. Inexcusable, both for him and definitely for her but posting everyone just like that in public is not something you do according to your lawstate, you gotta take one with the other i'm afraid. Especially the people who get free from solitary after eighteen years or so (not that that exists here, everything's bland, even the sentences)

What happens with an object going faster than light if it's mass diminishes, what happnes if you shoot an object into a black hole at infinite speed according to this 'new theory where beyond infinity things turn to nothing ?, i wish i had the link but you'll have to excuse my gremmar, it was in the daily post, any avid reader will have seen it.
