    hm yes, if i get a years subscription for a certain magazine i really want to make sure i'm visiting their site thru an american proxy. See, if i pay $127 that's a lot less than when i have to pay €127, for a digital download its in fact a huge difference.

    mhm, i'd prefer a customizable version i can strip of anything i don't use, including metro and boots right into my steam client but i have a hunch that won't happen. I wonder when they slap a price tag on it, all i hear about is the upgrade the upgrade, and some kind of re-invented oem version floating around for people who have th audacity to build their own pcs (from parts, not like build-build ofcourse) but no price, no price at all

    a society that's not build and has not grown around 'having stuff' can do without government very well but it will ofcourse not work in a system where 75% of every day is spent on the procurement of (mostly useless) 'stuff' and the powerr to get more. In other words, they're not ready. But it can work, on a global scale it already does in internet communities and maybe the notorious anonymous movement that doesnt actually exist but where everyone with a conscience can just take part if they choose to do so without anyone directing or governing or planning. Last thing i read was a bunch of masked crusaders cleaning the streets in Japan as a statement. No one asked them to and they could just as well have graffitid slogans all over the place. Must be pretty confusing for national securitists and the likes to grasp the concept of an organisation you can't catch because there is none.
    welcome to the future, even if it's probably still at least a few hundred years away (if we last that long as a species and we don't regress again first)

    umh, maybe the EU can make itself useful for a change, after all they did show some kind of initiative vs acta and they did force m$ to put a choice for browser in, and i think it was them who said you can re-sell your software as many times as you want, no matter what the vendors say ... so maybe this time they could guarantee the right to install whatever you want on your pc, while failing at about everything economic when it comes to that they're actually somewhat decent as a ruling organ ... time to dust off the keyboard and start mailing meps maybe

It's still great news, a step towards a better life and a step towards not needing to have a huge partition reserved for a huge expensive operating system that i use for games, and for games only. with what it costs i can buy a new xbox or that pair of shoes i've been needing for two years now.     to install a free pirate copy, it's huge and it always slowed down the whole system once installed somehow (maybe just my biased interpretation and some self fulfilling prophecy but still that's how it felt)
    if its just for letters and simple calc i think openoffice does the job just as well, on both windows and linux

    i don't get how they can get so much support from citizens either, just how do they justify the cost in both money and reputation/goodwill from other nations by playing the classic bully instead of tending to their own wounds first?

    despite the whole world crashing, unemployment rising dramatically across the globe and people in general having way less money to spend they practically still sold the same number as before ... it just didn't increase, and that's a bad thing considering everything? Something is really wrong with the perception of reality in these people me thinks.
    i should ofcourse not make too much noise about it since i didnt even have to skip economics class, i just never had one. After all, whatever wisdom the ancients shared with us has to be right, it seems to be working perfectly for years and years, and probably for years to come

    belgium gained about 100% unemployed in only one year ... no news about that on national tv, its visible to anyone who gives it a search ofcourse.     they're a megacorp, not politicians, maybe cos of that they're not used to making wild promises but go for what can be achieved (except the part where google+ would have taken over half of facebook, i don't know who got that idea ... people don't really like to change once they're comfy)
