    The traditional Linux problems as you say are not there because Apple controls the platform. I could just as easy start a Linux-based computer brand, using only motherboards and network cards made by Intel and graphics cards made by nVidia.
    Hardware problems, what hardware problems?

    And to be honest, the compatibility is pretty good. Linux can read and understand all proprietary formats of the Windows platform ( wmf, psd, wmv, dec, xls).

    Don't get me wrong, I completely understand your point. I just wanted to show you that you can't easily compare the free-for-all Linux with the heavily platform-controlled and locked in Mac OS X.

    America might have done some dumb things in the past, but I'm pretty sure they're nuclear arsenal is secure enough.

    Well here it's just around. I know 3 Macbook users but I'll have to think a while to count all the Linux users I know.
    Mind you, I live in Europe, I think Apple never caught on as much here.

    I totally agree with you, absolutely. I'm vegetarian myself.

    But watch out with that slavery analogy. As correct and sound as it may be, some people will be quite offended by it.

    People are selfish indeed. And also blind for the consequences if those are negative. Eating meat destroys the planet but so little people do something about it.

    What's more important to you? OSS graphics drivers or OSS BIOS? And by the way, if you need a decent graphics card, you're gonna need ATI or nVidia anyways, Intel doesn't make really high performance cards.

    Even in Gnome bluetooth doesn't work. They had a really nice, easy to use and working UI in Hardy, but for some daft reason they decided to remove half of it and supplement it with a program that has Apache as a dependency and doesn't work either.
    It's a pretty heavy regression, I hope they sort everything out when they get to Jaunty. I'm sure they will though.

    Flash is open. There is no open source viewer yet, but the specifications themselves have been there long enough.

    Sometimes I do play one one, but it was more to somewhat prove that I'm no TF2 fan boy and dare to admit that I don't approve of every decision Valve had made. You just responded to my subtle psychology.
