And I live in NY (Long Island) where you need a MINIMUM of $45,000 to pay mortgage, and support the wife and kids...I would need 3 full time jobs at $8 an hour to just squeak by...and then I'd become an estranged father and husband...

Fortunately, due to Microsoft licenses, my company switched to PC's running Linux.
What a relief! The stress I was suffering over job security is gone! In fact, I just got a fat raise because the bosses think that Linux is so difficult, yet I never work!

I remember the old metal and punk albums from the 80's. I swear you could hear people talking in the background! Some of those albums were REALLY raw. No production. 4 tracks and then they're mixed together. Listen to black flag. ZERO production, but excellent none the less. I remember the Misfits live album (the name escapes me at the moment) which had mistakes in it and everything! That's what I prefer. I love that REAL feeling. I still remember on the Reign in Blood album (slayer) where there's a production mistake. The song piece by piece you could hear how one of the lead guitar tracks was just shut off, no fade. I happen to like that kind of thing

It doesn't include the required $5,000 a year property tax I have to pay or car insurance ($1,200 a year in NY) I am willing to move anywhere else, but first I have to sell my house(Anyone in the market for a $300,000 cape on a 1/4 acre of property in Long Island , NY---it's a CHEAP starter house)
After being out of work for a year, unemployment exhausted, we have 2 months left of savings WITHOUT paying phone or electric. According to my calculations, finding a mimimum wage job that DOESNT start you at part time is like trying to find a needle in a HayStack. Any suggestions?

You do need a copy of windows (Win98 recommeneded) to install into the VM, but it boots faster than windows does! It's identical to VMWare in almost everywat, except that it's Windows only. Give it a try..much easier that booting into Windows for 1 program...
