I entered all the same information twice; one claiming all my online accounts had $0 in them and another claiming I had $99,999,999 (the largest number you can input). Both said I was worth $32. I then went back and said I didn't have an online brokerage account or an online 401k. This caused them to calculate my worth at $12. I then tried saying I had no online accounts; not even an email. That said I was worth $0. I then said I only had an email. That raised my value to $0.10.
So, regardless of how much money you say you have this calculator is entirely dependent on what type of accounts you have online.
Obviously Waldo is surrounded by lots of other submarines that are similar in appearance to the submarine they need to find. So, start by looking for someplace that has several hundred submarines all in one location. Once you find that then all you have to do is pick out the one that looks like Waldo.
No, it's 43560 square feet in an acre, not square inches though I guess you sort of proved your point as you confused the units while describing how much harder it is to remember conversions in english units versus metric units.
Yes...I considered "music" rather than "songs" so it'd match the syllables but it didn't fit grammatically towards the end. For instance "Millions of music" doesn't make sense. Plus I butchered a few other lines so I decided to overlook the major flaw of the rhythm not being correct. That's probably why I'm an engineer rather than a musician:).
[Chorus:]
Movin' to bittorrent, gonna steal a lot of songs
Movin' to bittorrent, Gonna steal me a lot of songs
Movin' to bittorrent, gonna steal a lot of songs
Movin' to bittorrent, gonna steal a lot of songs
(Wow)
Songs come from a torrent,
they were put there by a pirate
In a country overseas
If I had my little way,
I'd steal songs every day
So many songs to be played
[Chorus]
Take a little app where the tunes all exist
Heard a rotten song and was pissed
And dreamed about you, RIAA,
I used my encryption down inside
Make a little room my songs to hide
Pirate's bounty in my PC or Laptop or a Phone
Millions of songs, songs for me
Millions of songs, songs for free
Millions of songs, songs for me
Millions of songs, songs for free
Millions of songs, songs for me
Millions of songs, songs for free
Millions of songs, songs for me
Millions of songs, songs for free
How about rather than delaying the switch to digital broadcasts we do the switch on time and if you don't have a converter box already, and didn't get a coupon yet, just make the people who procrastinated send in a mail in rebate rather than receiving a coupon. Perhaps that's an oversimplification but I'd rather the government spend a few extra dollars processing rebates than have the digital broadcast deadline extended yet again.
I believe a major reason for giving you a hassle when returning an item without a receipt is if it's common practice then you can buy an item on sale one week and return it the next week for full price effectively turning a profit for yourself. Also you could buy it at Walmart for $20 less and return it to Best Buy and make $20 on it. That's primarily why they want a receipt; they don't want to refund you more money than you actually paid for it in the first place.
I found the following page on the EPA useful. It shows average and maximum fuel reduction based on temperature, head wind, hills/mountains, road conditions, traffic congestion, speed, acceleration rate, etc.
I've heard of making up a maiden name for your mother to tell the credit card company or other financial institutions. It's really easy if somebody wants to steal your identity to find a marriage license and figure out your mother's maiden name but if you create a fictitious maiden name nobody will guess it. Of course in this scenario you'll actually want to remember what you pretend your mother's maiden name is if you ever need to call up the credit card company...
Just today I read on/. that plastics cause heart disease and diabetes so the more time they spend touching anything plastic (including playing video games) the worse off they are unless they wrap the keyboard or controller in tinfoil I suppose...
Third, RACIST? What the hell? Can you PLEASE explain that, because I REALLY don't get that one. Honestly, I haven't a clue where you got that and really want to know.
Grandparent is likely talking about this
incident involving Michael Richards when he said racist. I don't think he means Seinfeld. Saying, "starring a Microsoft shill & a racist" I'm guessing refers to two people rather than to two traits of one person.
I have to agree. The summary is particularly bad in this case. It says three managers suggested he change his name. If you RTFA nobody suggests he change his name and the three managers the summary says told him to change his name actually agreed that needing to change his username was absurd but couldn't help him and pushed him to other managers (actually the article says supervisors) that simply never followed up or called him back.
So Verizon just never followed up and all the supervisors he talked to tended to agree that he should be able to use his name. This is almost the exact opposite of the summary. Seems Verizon simply failed to follow up or call the guy back.
Can we start modding headlines as +/- "Accurate Summary" or something?
Those elected officials want to spend their August kicking up their shoes when unemployment is at an all-time high?
While I agree that our elected officials shouldn't be going on vacation I have to disagree that unemployment is at an all-time high. Unemployment as of today is 5.7%. Over the past 50 years the median has been 5.5% and the mean has been 5.6% so hardly an all-time high. Below are a list of years sorted from highest to lowest in which unemployment was higher.
No mention of actual cost as far as I can tell. It's twice as efficient but does it cost 100 times more or twice as much? The former probably makes it far less useful, the latter would be great.
JERRY: (Excited) I can't believe I'm gonna be a mailman!
(Scene cuts to Jerry on Newman's route. He's walking along a city street with a mail cart. He stops infront of a store owner brooming the sidewalk)
JERRY: (Hands him some mail) There you go. Merry Chirstmas!
OWNER: Mail on Sunday?
JERRY: (Shrugs) Oops.
Next time my boss asks how long it'll take my to complete a job I'll tell him some time. Then when he asks how much longer I need to finish the project I'll tell him more time. Makes things much simpler than making up numbers like I usually do anyway.
My above scenario sounds like something out of Dilbert though:).
If true and you set aside the ability to count objects and extrapolate into other areas numbers are useful how do they give directions for instance? Go some paces east then more paces north and so on and you end up where? Then follow those directions backwards and you won't arrive at your starting point.
Do they have a concept of time? It seems you need numbers for that. I'm more sunrises older than my one son who is some sunrises older than my other son. I guess it's possible time is irrelevant to them but seems to me without numbers it's hard to do just about anything.
I don't know if it's a similar problem or not but I had a DI-624 a few years ago that rebooted constantly and I sent it in under warranty and got another one. Then that one started acting up and through multiple levels of tech support they finally determined that my 2.4 GHz wireless phone was setting too close to the router and since wifi was also at 2.4 GHz they recommended switching to a different channel. That fixed the problem for me.
Where I work we had IE 7 a couple years ago but the corporate intranet didn't work properly or IT didn't want to support it or something so I'm forced to use IE 6. I couldn't update IE if I wanted to on the computer where I work.
I use firefox at home but I go to quite a few websites during my lunch break. Unless they're filtering out IP's from corporate domains I suspect the results of the study are skewed by users surfing while at work.
So if I did my math correctly they're saying if they did distributed computing they'd need to transfer data at a rate of 92.5 Tbps.
I'm assuming a 1 Gb memory stick is actually 1 GB though...

And 1 acre being 43560 square inch is so obvious!

It's not inhumane; I take on dose of rat poison every day. Hasn't killed me yet!
I bet you know a lot of people that ingest rat poison
