    The initial IE was purchased from Spyglass for a small sum plus royalties on sales. Needless to say they were screwed. When Microsoft later claimed it was an integral part of the operating system, Spyglass claimed the royalty on a basis of Microsoft's Windows sales. This was settled out of court, but some damn fine cars were seen driving the roads of Naperville, Illinois, soon thereafter.

    The reason they are all CAPS is that they are transmitted using Baudot Code, a 5 level code with no lower case and a very limited set of symbols.

    Does the new unleaded AVGas lubricate the valve seats like lead does? That was the issue with old cars, putting in new valves and valve seats would solve the problem.

    When are people going to learn? Unless you design an operating system to be secure from the very start, it is never going to be really secure.

    Some valuable lessons may be learned from this, but I don't see it having much of a future.

    Not a bad way to start. A lot of possibilities to enhance the code on the Arduino, and on the host side.

"In 2011, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) behaved in a regrettably consistent manner: it euthanized the overwhelming majority of dogs and cats that it accepted into its shelters. Out of 760 dogs impounded, they killed 713, arranged for 19 to be adopted, and farmed out 36 to other shelters (not necessarily "no kill" ones). As for cats, they impounded 1,211, euthanized 1,198, transferred eight, and found homes for a grand total of five. PETA also took in 58 other companion animals -- including rabbits. It killed 54 of them."

    The accident numbers represented as being caused by alcohol are massively overstated. If someone who has a detectable amount of alcohol in their system is rear ended at a stop light, that is counted, even though the person who struck them was completely sober.

    Imagine Entertainment and Universal Studios confirmed that a remake titled Colossus, to be directed by Ron Howard, would be in production as of April 2007,[5] but was delayed for years.     For some workloads, Xen outperforms kvm, and vice versa. It is better for us all to have competing open source solutions than competing against closed source solutions. Also worth noting, Yes Xen was pretty much dead in the water for some time, but since getting their act together and getting support in the mainline kernel, they have been doing very well.

    There is a very good reason for using Amplitude Modulation. Frequency Modulation suffers from the capture effect, where a stronger signal in an adjacent frequency will be received instead of the desired signal. AM does not suffer from this. You can also make out an AM transmission underneath a stonger transmission on the same frequency. Digital transmissions are competely unreliable in very low signal to noise situations. Digital works, or it doesn't. At least with AM, you will get fragments of the transmission.

    Microsoft came close to moving to Unix, but opted to continue with DOS. Linux did not exist until a decade later.
