I have to disagree. How many people went to the restaurant with the expectation that they would be getting X for Y, and instead got X for 1.36 x Y? With the addition of a moderate punitive damage, $3260 doesn't sound unreasonable.
Actually, it might help competition. SBC/ATT would compete on far more products with the other ILEC's, than they do currently. The results could be interesting.
Bzzzt! Wrong, please play again. The term was in use well before there was a games industry. The best explanation I have heard for the term is that it is derived from gold casting craft. You wouldn't waste any gold until the casting mold was "perfect".
Good point, but, how much of Apple's revenue stream could you honestly attribute to FreeBSD? An interesting question. How much revenue can be attributed to the GNU stream?//hint: an aspiring economics student could really make a name for themselves exploring this.
FreeBSD is responsible for over $1B in revenues, today. If it could be accurately counted, it might be over $2B. Yup, it's dying, all the way to the bank.;->
Modern electronics have millions, if not billions, of active components to get the job done. Not that long ago, some of these jobs were done with two or three dozen active components. Pretty amazing, if you asked me.

Acid rain is causing a great deal of damage in various portions of the world. Acid rain also results in releasing huge amounts of CO2 into the environment by freeing it from carbonates.

Somehow, I have heard this story before.
Seriously, the cycle continues. Until the next chapter, which I hope will be soon.
You are probably thinking of College of DuPage, which is a junior community college.
A large number of MCI shareholders are very angry with this deal. It is possible that the deal will not get shareholder approval.
"Atlanta Nights" goes on to become the best selling novel of the year.
You know how dumb the average american is, just remember, statistically, half of them are even dumber.

You may be working for Verizon, soon.
I would not consider NCR a child of AT&T. AT&T bought it and later sold it off. Ameritech became part of SBC, not Verizon.

It's done, stick a fork in it.
Not really, A VHS would not have survived as long. Beta was a significantly more robust format.

Not even on the list. My, how times change.
And sadly, in the case of the Fox Valley, the opponents probably spent more fighting it than the municipal network would have cost to begin with.

There are many organizations already doing this with FreeBSD today. It is also interesting to note that Juniper's JunO/S is based on FreeBSD.
Currently, you could buy MCI for about $6B plus the assumption of $6B in debt. Such a deal!
