And from a principles point of view, you probably shouldn't work from a company that wants to enslave you.
While this is nice in principle, nearly every company wants to enslave you and even those that don't want you to sign similar slips of paper to work for them. I love my job and they really don't want to enslave me, but when I came in I didn't have the leverage to not sign. Good for you that you were but for the rest of us: Odds are they won't bother with following through with something like that unless a) it is in competition (or perceived competition) with the company or b) it is interfering with your performance or c) they can leverage it into something that would rake in large profits with little expenditure.

If they were losing more in stolen money (that they had to repay) or business than it costs to actually secure the ATM they would make the proper changes in security, it would already be fixed.

It seemed pretty clear to me. The government adopted a standard with royalties from $24-40 per set for its mandate that all broadcast symbols be digital. That means that the government set up a rule that essentially said you must pay $24-40 to a private for-profit entity every time you buy a television set and that all the broadcasters must also pay a fee on their transmitters.

I enjoy watching sports as well. My general point is all of our adult activities are at there core childish. Or rather children play at adult things with reduced rules. The elitist attitude that my neighbor who spends hours and hours in his garage across the street working on a car he never ever drives is any more valuable or adult than me sitting inside playing video games or reading comics or watching anime is just degrading. The idea that someone chooses a hobby over some other hobby is really meaningless in modern society where we have bought so much spare time for ourselves.
A hobbiest mechanic never grew up from playing with cars.
A sports enthusiast never grew up from childhood games.
A comic book reader never grew up from reading children's stories.
An anime enthusiast never grew up from watching cartoons.
A fashionista never grew up from playing dress up...
What makes our hobbies worthwhile and really keeps us interested is the rules get more difficult as we mature and are able to invest more time, skill, thought, and money into what we do. So all those people really did grow up. All those hobbies became adult hobbies with more complex rules and better pieces to play with.

The best skill I picked up in high school was the ability to do research and write papers, that came out of my English classes. I certainly wouldn't have been the same without all my science course but I don't think I could have made it through my undergrad much less my Master's without the foundation in writing.
