The difference between Linux and *BSD has never been wider. I love BSD because of how/etc is configured. Linux made a mess of things and with massive scripts and subdirectories. Things have changed so much since the 2.0 kernel days its almost an entirely new OS.
Put that ancient remote session shit inside a module or run VNC. Some of us want a fast responsive GUI that doesn't rely on 30 year old protocols. Going from a windows box to something running X feels like jogging in mud.
Because 1 Mbps is indistinguishable from 100 Mbps to the average person. Until you get into streaming Netflix which needs 3 Mbps the average person can't tell.
Because the admins of Slashdot are too fucking lazy to actually read submissions, check the links, and run a spell/grammar check. Instead we get random shit like this or blatant advertisements for the "most extreme usb drive ever".
CAD has progressed way beyond simple 2D drawings. Let's see you run Solidworks over an X11 session. I'm not a gamer but I do like a responsive GUI. Run VNC if you want remote desktops.
Pay attention to any politician or cop who has to testify under oath. Use their magic words "I don't recall". At this point they already know the drives are his.
Unions priced themselves out of business. They demanded outrageous wages and concessions so the companies moved overseas. Some places you can't even change a light bulb or move a desk without calling in union workers. Sorry but you aren't worth $40 per hour to push a button or turn a bolt on an assembly line.
CPUs are magnitudes faster today than they were 10 years ago. Why is it that pages still take seconds to load? Go back 10 years and they still took the same amount of time. Why?
Probably the one I was at. But yea he has a valid point. The Republicans from the 1990s are nothing like the so called Republicans today. They don't spend less and they don't try and make the government any smaller. They don't stand for personal freedom or privacy unless it has anything to do with guns.

Care to back up this statement?
The encryption on these devices was not broken. It was bypassed due to a software vulnerability.

Tons of people still use DSL. Not every local phone co is running fiber and who in their right mind would buy from Comcast?

Anyone that reads only one news source is equally guilty, be it Democracy Now or Foxnews.

Do you even know what thermite is, how its created, or ignited?

99% of Linux users want desktop performance, not remote desktop performance. Put that legacy remote shit into a module if you want.

Have you priced Mercedes/Audi/BMW against American cars? Excluding that new $30k Merc they all cost twice as much.
Yeah unions are great. That steel industry sure is kicking ass and the cost/quality of American cars can't be beat!
Seriously who gives a fuck about twitter and who puts so much weight into what is said?
Great news for all those OpenGL games out there like Minecraft and um....

So what is the benefit to keeping his name in the press?
Yeah some real change from the John Ashcroft days...

I'll never understand that. You basically bought two cheap laptops for the price of a single iPad and keyboard dock.
Who even does that in the first place? OpenBSD gives you a daily email containing all changes to config files that have occurred.
Clearly news for nerds, a boring legal battle in a slightly incomprehensible summary.
