    Now I know you're trying to be funny (and failing because the K7 cpu smokes when the heatsink is removed) but you raise a valid point. Most stoves with the fancy displays eventually burn out or fade after a few years due to the oven heat. So now my oven is totally useless because the display quit or a solder joint on the pcb failed.

    Yeah cutting spending is such a crazy idea. The poster above you didn't suggest a single thing you said. He said to cut admin costs and stop paying the equivalent of ditch diggers union salaries. Nobody is saying to shut down the cops/fire/ems/road crews. What they are saying is take a good look at where the money is being pissed away. Eventually you're going to run out of things to tax.

    Not sure why this is sitting at -1. The UEFI spec says SafeBoot must have the option to be disabled. If anyone bothered to read who all was part of the UEFI group they would note its a dozen companies including AMD. Well all know how much slashdot likes to suck AMD's cock.

    Bullshit. I bought a 20 watt white led array and it needs a heatsink suitable for an i7 core cpu. Anything smaller and it would be too hot to touch.

    There is nothing to figure out. Its a problem of physics. LEDs produce heat that must be dissipated somehow. Its no good if your replacement bulb has a huge heatsink attached to it. It also brings up the problem of lights in enclosed spaces, something incandescents have no issue with.
