I really hope they figure out how to make a faster read write speed. It is already almost a given that if you have a RAID 5 setup with 2TB drives there is bound to be an error during rebuild. There was a report on the chance of failure of an array using large drives failing during rebuild. So instead of RAID6 or are we going to have to go to a 3 parity RAID? They claimed RAID 5 should have failed in 09 and that is sata drives but if you put 60TB on a single drive you are asking for trouble IMO. Granted a nice RAID10 would be nice though. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/storage/why-raid-5-stops-working-in-2009/162

A lot of people try to root android and brick shit this kind of prevents that. Also I may create a blog post with the original file to be used only for "historical and comparison usage" of course. Really all this does is format a flash drive and then copy the files from iso. Anyone could accomplish this with a number of other tools out there.

  18. Whiner on Kindle, Zune DRM Restrictions Coming Into Focus · · Score: 1

You do know that bought music can be burned to a cd so the first thing you should have done is backed it up then there would be no reason to bitch about DRM. There is way too much about this. Buy MP3 on the Zune store if it bugs you. I would really like for someone to explain to me why it is so hard to buy a DRM'd cd and burn it to real media that can be ripped at your leisure. Digital products are fine, i love getting things instantly on the fly, but i am also smart enough to know for 5 minutes of my time i can create a hard copy to file away. Any software you buy digitally you can't guarantee the company will be around forever to let you redownload the software. Blank media costs pennies these days and external hard drives are cheap as well. I know in the case of music if the server is turned off or the label pulls the track you are sol even if you have a digital backup that it would need to authenticate to.

If you have people there that actually know the products it could do a lot for people getting what they need not what the high school senior at best buy tells them will do what they need. Also there is a good chance this will be a place to get Xboxs and some of Microsoft's other hardware out there. I am willing to bet there are a lot of retailers who have never heard of some of the hardware MS puts out and it will be nice to see a lot of it and play with it.

Microsoft should just stick to the EU and not add a damn browser at all over there. Then these people who get a nice new computer can plug it into their router and get nowhere. The browser is almost a necessary item now. Who wants to buy a PC and have to remember to grab the free cd to install the browser of their choice. Then again they could always go home and FTP the browser install files, wait. That will be the next one MS will have to take FTP out of windows because its hurting companies that sell FTP software. Hmm what else could be add to the list. While we are at it take notepad and wordpad out of the OS. After you take all of this out ship to the EU and call it Windows FUEU. If DELL or any of the other vendors start adding more crap to a PC that will make the market better for sure. What about those of us who custom build our boxes. And to anyone who thinks apple isn't a monopoly then you are sadly fuckin mistaken. Apple locks down more proprietary shit then MS ever has or will. Look at the fucking Psystar lawsuit that made them the larger monopoly than MS. The difference in Apple is a monopoly by force, MS is just a market leader. Monopoly - exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market, or a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices. If that isn't Apple and forcing you to buy their hardware I don't what the fuck is.
