However, just breaking the disc does not prevent you from playing WoW. Even if you reformatted your computer you can easily download the game from Blizzard's website.

The best solution would be to shout your account information in Trade chat and wait for someone to change your password. Then you just have to prevent yourself from e-mailing Blizzard that your account got stolen.

Even getting it to fucking stay minimized when I want to check something in Mozilla can be a chore. It just wants to hog the screen, no matter what. Sometimes even ALT-TAB doesn't work right out of it.

I wish more MMOs (or games in general) would support the borderless windowed mode that WoW uses. Granted WoW does not run as fast in borderless windowed as it does at full screen but the flexibility and ease of alt-tabbing more then makes up for a few FPS drop.

The one and only thing that is preventing me from even attempting to install Linux (let along getting it working) is the fact that I will not be able to play any modern game at acceptable performance. I have never understood that and it feels logically backward. You are targeting a group of people for your show, you need to know how many of that group is actually watching the show. If the target audience is never polled then you only know how many of the non-target audience is watching but you do not know if the show is successful in getting viewers from the group that might want to watch the show.

They have ships that can move from planet to planet with relative ease (and seemingly great speed) and yet they still used 6-shooters and shotguns as their weapon of choice. WTF Mate?

Maybe because 6-shooters and shotguns are easy to fix, easy to maintain, and ammo is cheap and easy to make? If you watch Heart of Gold the bad guy has a laser pistol. This guy owns like half the planet so he has the money and power to buy a high tech weapon like that. Alliance solders use what I can best describe as sonic blasters. They more or less just knock you on your ass but are non-lethal (see the episode Ariel).

The tech is available, but the main characters are not exactly on the flagship of the federation. In fact, Firefly and Star Trek are just about as far apart as you can get in space sci-fi.

Sorry, but I love the so called "shakey cam" style. It is a refreshing change from decades of smooth pans and perfectly framed shots.

The reason people like Half-Life 2's story is because they feel they are in the action (no break-away cut-scenes like Halo). The "shakey cam" helps me feel like I am part of the action, that I am in the action. That is just one reason I love BSG and the new Star Trek. I feel like I am in the universe instead of simply watching it.

Stardock has a Steam-like product called Impulse that many have said is akin to a light form of DRM, but still DRM.

Saying that you have to connect with Impulse to download a patch is like saying you need gas in your car to drive to the library.

Connecting to a server to download a update IS NOT DRM! You have to be connected to the internet to download a update anyways, so what if you can only get the patch from one website. How many MMOs (besides WoW) let you download a patch from a third party website? Complain about the speed, sure, but I have never had speed problems with Impulse or Steam.

Also, as a poster below mentioned, you do not need to have Impulse running to run the game (unlike Steam).
