Maybe they'll actually finish these buildings, unlike the big development center they started in Austin and then left unfinished. A big, half-constructed building sitting in the middle of downtown for the last 5 years.
And the city council gave them millions in tax breaks to leave an eyesore downtown...
Thank god someone besides me isn't going ape-shiite over HDTV.
Heck, since I can get all my favorite shows (Futurama, Family guy, Simpsons, Mythbusters, etc) and movies on DVD, I don't even watch TV any more. I canceled my DirecTV and only watch about two or three hours of DVDs per week nowadays. Life is better.
Just like the Patriot Act slowly taking away your liberties, Apple is slowly going to lock out all ability to play music that is not from iTunes, or at least not ripped on a Mac.
You just wait a couple of years.../I'm tinfoil ready!
I have a marketing degree from a state university, nothing else.
I am now a PHP/MySQL programmer/DBA. The job is good, the money is good.
Experience and a BROAD knowledge of languages and technologies are the important things. Being a nice person also helps. People remember when you do favors for them.
"I don't know, I'm 1337 cause I haxor many boxen on many oses, apple is teh sux"
Golly anonymous li'l feller! I hardly remember saying anything like "Apple sux", in fact I don't remember posting anything in your cute li'l hacker-speak. (mighty adorable though)
Apple makes some fine product. Just wish they'd open up their hardware. Many of us got burned back in '96 with the Power PC when Apple yanked their licenses.
You keep reading whatever you want to read in my replies though. She's a free country.
Pablo, I bow to your superior wisdom about the iPod. You are the iPod god.
I've used one, thought it was nice, but thought other things were better. Golly gee, I dinna realize that an opinion that the iPod wasn't the best MP3 player in the universe counted as crankiness.
Glance down to change the radio station!? Please tell me you don't do that while driving! Just memorize which preset button does what and learn to hit them without taking your eyes off the road. For the kids...okay?
So "I don't know." is not considered an answer to a question?
Man, you must be one smart little critter to never have to say that.
And an anonymous li'l feller, too.
How is that NEUROS? I've been looking at them, but I have too many MP3 players already. But if you can give me a good reason, then some friend of mine will be very happy to get one of my "old" MP3 players so I can get a NEUROS...
Was it packed in oil or water?

I found a patch in alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.pornstars that allows me to see naked chicks on ANY computer connected to the Internets!
My amigos at Freescale's Apple support division were actually quite happy that the Jobs monkey was finally off their backs.
Author was at LEAST 14!
Wow, /. is posting essays from 8th graders now.
I agree. Since I got rid of my TV a few months ago my home productivity has gone up an astounding amount and I don't miss TV at all.
Due to Slashdot and Fark my work productivity still sucks, though.

Given the chance they'd kill all of us for our wine, water and women. I say wipe them out now before it's too late!
"Oh you can use statistics to prove anything, Ken. 14% of all people know that."

Awards shows are worthless.
Amen, Brother.
In fact, most TV is worthless. As are most movies. Oh, and most games.

Uh, others have been doing this for years, with bigger screens.
One example
Nope, I don't work for AMD.
CEO lives in Austin.
The server is sitting in the room next to me right now. (Guess where I work?) Hardly what I would call vaporware.
We probably won't ever need more than 640K of RAM, either.
I prefer the "interweb thingy" as in:
"Less all look fer it on this hyar interweb thingy"
Thank god someone else thought of S*mpr*n* besides me!

It's official pauljlucas is an idiot.
Aw, he probably just replied before dinnertime. You know how folks get touchy when they're hungry.
