Yeah it's not the first sentient robots you have to worry about. It's the armada of expansionist robots from outer space a few thousand years from now.
But it's not a bad idea, it's just dumb to rely solely on it.
I can just imagine the military "Fuck the perimeter, if the enemy gets inside the base it's going to be all knives and hand to hand combat anyway. Sell the guns boys, we're all getting HUGE KNIVES!"
I don't think it so much that Microsoft's old PC manufacturers on Windows 8 as much as they said we're Microsoft, you're going to sell what we tell you to sell.
We're also hitting diminishing returns with game graphics. It used to be generational differences between games was huge but these days can you really tell the different between this years shooter and last years shooter?
True although look at the game console situations. In past generations the consoles used some PowerPC variant from IBM.
This time they're using x86 but not Intel. Intel has made a mint off the PC platform and now Valve is going to PCize the game console industry with SteamOS.
What do you think Intel's next move is going to be? What did they do when Microsoft did this to the PC market?
Active Jamming.
Web technologies themselves suck and unfortunately they also set the development bar very low, so pseudo-developers can make shit.
This is a recipe for lulz and swearing.
No... wait, yep, actually it IS the moon!
Won't someone think of the native people?
Mooninites are people too! They're from the moon.

The thing that sucks isn't the fine ($75 bucks? pff) but the fucking insurance hit you take for driving like an asshole.
Action has that consequence, you fuck up a lot.
But then you learn from it and move on.
Mea Culpa.
The US is a leader because we don't just talk big on the internet and rave into video cameras.
But it's not a bad idea, it's just dumb to rely solely on it.

"Firewalls don't help"
LOL! You could make the case that Firewalls aren't perfect security solutions but god damn.
Over the shoulder bro-ulder holder!
At least you don't fee like an Oracle error.
Wow, I take that back.
It sucks cubed!
It bogs down my Core i7 dedicated nvidia ivy bridge system rendering a few dozen translucent quads. LOL!
It's "web native" which means it sucks *and* it sucks.
Damn's text of speech!

LOL I can just imagine how fast that JIT will be trying to optimize fabulous PHP code.
It's hilarious that a company with that much money would even attempt this.
I hope to god this post is some kind of bizarre troll attempt.
Given that PHP and Python are both horribly slow, how does that show Ruby is now scalable for big apps?
Yep, to stay relevant Microsoft will need someone extremely talented.
If they choose an Elop, they're doomed. Which is the scenario I'm hoping for.
We're also hitting diminishing returns with game graphics. It used to be generational differences between games was huge but these days can you really tell the different between this years shooter and last years shooter?
Barely.

I think you mean "true."
When was the last time an OR operation returned "Yes."?
Maybe in VB or Ruby or something.
Or... maybe we'll continue to be raped by the medical industry anyway?
