Just thinking about it- you'd probably have to calculate 243,000,500,000,000,000,003 and then check the 2nd last digit or else it would be rounded up(allowing that the next digit is 5or greater)- wouldn't it? Anyone got a spare cluster available and a large storage area with a lot of time available. Damn trick questions.

Actually I dont think it would be too hard-just CBF working it out and quoting the command. On a konsole generate pi; pipe to a file; grep your 243,000,500,000,000,000,002 digit then check the tail of the file.. No doubt the more geeky will give the exact command; and probably an easier way by piping straight to a konsole. Cheers,

According to http://www.belowtheline.org.au/ (region QLD) and their preferences in order- Australian Sex Party, Secular Party Of Australia, Carers Alliance, Liberal Democrats, Australian Democrats, Senator On-Line, The Greens, Australian Labour Party.. So much hatred towards Microsoft here. My experiences with Server 2008 and Windows 7 have been nothing short of stellar. Terminal services are rediculously easy to setup through IIS (which happens to be more secure than Apache currently) and Windows7 benchmarks are better than XP. What else do you guys want from Microsoft?

You know the solution.. Hit up the hardware vendors and put the pressure on them. Its their product! Do not endorse sub standard support. Yet it seems you did this with the 802.11n device (I can't comment on the N gear under *Nix as my budget hasn't stretched for new hardware yet). Beta HDMI- hit the manufacturers up for the Main board/VGA card- do you actually think this is acceptable? Manufacturers keep claiming not enough users are using Linux and keep selling gear with Win* drivers only. Every bloody trade/tech show I go to and they show off the Shiny New Must Have (tm) the first question is, "Does it support Linux or Have Linux drivers?"... If the answer is no- walk away. You as a consumer have the power to support those that support your OS. The OS is free- the Lifestyle is free- Spend some money on a programming/hardware courses and give back to the community (read write your own drivers).... Why should the hardware not work out of the Box? You don't mention which OS you have chosen- try SUSE,SLACKWARE, FEDORA, MANDR*.. Sometimes you may just get a shock... It took 3 months (many moons ago) to get my SAA7134 based TV tuner working under Slackware- Some Christmas present hay >:) now it's supported straight from the kernel.

I can't disagree with him, but digital is here to stay, so we might as well move on and work-out the bugs as quickly as possible. Ending analog will stop a lot of adjacent and co-channel interference with the existing DTV channels, as will moving those channels from high-UHF (50-69) downto VHF.

We're going through the same thing here eventually... But okay.. Why is it here to stay?? Because somebody sold someone on how awesome wide-screen is- and oh listen to that wonderful sound.. What a load of old cows.. Come on. Digital is that- digital- perfect signal or nothing.. Be it dropped frames- or just a blank screen. Analog yeah I got some static; but it's watchable.
