I too am using Kubuntu 15.04, it works but it doesn't work well. Lots of missing features and buggy (yes I do report bugs). Everyday I consider "upgrading" back to Kubuntu 14.04 just to get back the features that are missing in Plasma 5.
I cannot say for sure if he is guilty or not, but it is known that the drug companies and American drug retailers despised those internet pharmacies and those who ran them. I somehow suspect there are alterior motives for this action.
The FDA (although they wont admit it), have been pressured by the drug companies to discredit the internet pharmacy industry for years, all for protecting the over-priced medication sales within the USA.
I guess they are buying into the less is more mentality? I'm not sure they are going about this in a smart way, it's like their promoting Windows as a plain old boring operating system. People like shiny good looking software and gadgets, if they had to choose between a slick eye-catching GUI or a bland, flat, no-bling GUI - which do you think people will buy?
The USA isn't happy unless it has control over; copyrights, patents, oil, and I guess the attitude of other country to do it's own thing, even if it's within the law.
I would like to know if there is anyone under the age of 65 that hasn't copied some sort of media, be it music, TV shows, movies, even magazine articles. I seem to remember reading about how sheet music would be copied by hand, and publishers way back before photocopying, were concerned about it then.
I know I don't want a doctor who is so closed minded as to not even attend a class on evolution. These radical rednecks are real displays of just how insane one can become when trying to conform to some arbitrary religious belief system.
This situation is absolute insanity. MS isn't making any friends by doing this. What I hope is for all these manufacturers to give MS a collective F*#K YOU, and file all sorts of lawsuits and cancel any agreements they have, and avoid using any of their products.
It's like a big bully outside the lunchroom and these companies are the bullied nerds. These companies clearly feel it's just cheaper to pay the bully (MS) their lunch money than to honestly fight it. If only the law makers realized what a disaster software patents would become, and how it doesn't protect innovation and becomes a huge expense to companies and individuals, I'm sure they would have did it differently.
Too damn bad for the US government. If they were truly acting in a respectable and honest manner, this "leak" wouldn't be such a big deal. If you act in such a way that you have to keep secrets - even from your own citizens which you are representing then, and these "leaks" will ruin relationships with fellow countries, that that to me says that this is a government not worth supporting or being in power.
NO. I don't care what any lawyer or judge says, Corporations are not people or real citizens of any country and therefore don't get the same rights as real people.
I've been using AMD for about 4 years now, and recently purchased a new desktop, and decided that AMD is just was the way to go. Intel products (are great) but expensive, and as the frugal type of guy I am, I just can't justify the extra cost for Intel products.
You'll have to call 411. But honestly how often does the power go out, and at the same time you have to call some unknown number? I know that I haven't experienced a power outage in many years. And what about cell phones, perhaps those will still be working during the power outage and you can look up the number online on it.
I'd like to know how these ISP's are going to know exactly what data being transfered is infringing copyright, without serious invasion of privacy? For any other communication such as putting a wiretap on someones phone, it's up to the police to get warrants to do this info gathering.
Even if someone is suspected of copyright infringement, does it make it ok for some private company to invade your privacy without first getting authorization from a judge? Don't even argue that it's the ISP's system so they have a right to look into your data transfers, otherwise it would set a precedent that will allow the post office to open all your mail, couriers such as FedEx and UPS to open and inspect your packages, and the phone companies to listen in on all your calls.
It's as if the internet has gone from the "wild west" to a soon to be "police state"
Suddenly those papers' websites aren't going to get much traffic, advertisers are either going to leave or demand cheaper rates. This is a bonus to other news sites that still have free content, with more traffic they could potentially earn more money from advertisers.
For a guy who is obviously smart, he sure has no idea to cope with the Internet. I suppose you can't teach an old dog new tricks. He's living proof.
Just more propaganda of the US Corporations and Government trying force our government to adopt US style laws. These figures are pulled out of their asses - there is no hard proof of anything.
Don't most netbooks now come with the crappy Windows 7 Starter? It also seems they are more expensive then ever. You can just buy a low end regular laptop for just a bit more money. There are far more reasons than simply just the iPad.
"Whatever the problem is, it's hard to believe it's Windows' fault." Are you serious? Oh right, I forgot that all things that go wrong with Windows nowadays is someone else's fault - the user is stupid, it was a virus, shitty 3rd party applications, bad hardware, etc. etc.
The fact is most people will bitch and complain, but you'll never do anything about it. You'll continue to use and buy their products - which to them means that you are OK with how they treat you.
is getting really old and worn out. Why doesn't the FBI just be strait up with the people, and just say they want to have as much info on every American as possible - they need not use the child porn card anymore. This would be the biggest invasion of privacy ever - if it were enacted. The potential for abuse and theft of this info would be enormous, and I'm sure it would also have a price tag in the billions.

I agree with you 100%

Strange - I installed the 64-bit version this morning, no dependency errors, and it runs fine. I'm on Kubuntu 12.04 64-bit.

But, but, Adobe doesn't want us to us the word Photoshopped, according to their guidelines

Is this an April fools day joke? Seriously that amount is outrageous. How anyone can take them (RIAA) seriously is just crazy.

So basically if you can't trust MS with be truthful and upfront about security updates, what can you trust them with?

It's nice to know that not all ridiculous patents are accepted everywhere.
