"...worthless spirit made just a few years ago." Worthless? There's a recession going on you insensitive clod!
Pass that "worthless whiskey" on to me. I have a new entry to put in my Oxymoron logbook. Worthless whiskey indeed.
I grew up in Texas where I drove to anything that was more than 1 block away. I thought I would never get rid of my car. Now I live in Philadelphia on a rail line and I sold my car two weeks after I got a job in center city. I haven't missed it. Philly's transit system(SEPTA) isn't great. It's expensive compared to other regional rail systems, doesn't provide 24 hour service and is hobbled by union nonsense. Even so, I don't think I could ever go back to early morning commutes that eat up 90 minutes of my day, every day.
I realize I'm only one person and that this is a regional rail I'm talking about and not a national high speed line. I bring this up only to point out how quickly my perception of rail travel changed once it was available to me.
News story link perhaps? And public outcry isn't the same as a boycott. A boycott is when you get people to stop using a service. Did people in large numbers quit using MS or Google? Is that what got them to change or was it just the bad publicity.
And besides, seriously, when has a boycott against a major internet player every worked?
Please link to sources if you have examples.
It's easy to call for a boycott. Not so easy to actually make one effective.
Yes...Vista sucks but why don't people use Windows Mojave? I got a free copy from MS after I sat through a focus group on what was wrong with Vista. I slept through the last part of it but, hey...free OS..and it isn't Vista. Mojave is fantastic. I give it a 10.
Because in the early days of the game, before the forward pass was legal, the ball was advanced by foot...thus the name football. European football got its name because they kick it (most of the time) with their feet. Two different orgins to the same word that attempt to describe a sport. It happens.

It doesn't cease to exist. It's converted to water vapor so now the puddle realizes that air exists, heat exists from the Sun and it has the ability to transform it into something it could not comprehend when it was just a puddle.
It's band wagoners more than anyone else who claim "I've always stood for this"...but I'll take your words at face value. Very well, you've always been against intellectual whoredom. I maintain that it's a pointless position because EVERY candidate engages in it a great deal. All of them. There are differences between Obama and McCain to be sure but each of them will do whatever they can to get elected including all sorts of double-speak, truthiness talk and outright reversals of long held positions. Please don't ask me to list Obama's "intellectual whoredom" items. It's a long one. We could make a list for McCain too, put the two side by side and...prove my point.
Btw...I voted for Obama.
Since when does "intellectual whoredom" make someone a bad candiadate? That kidn of thing has been going on for decades but NOW...damnit...NOW you're going to take a STAND! Spare me the band-wagon outrage.
You're right. Blizzard usually doesn't time things right which ultimately screws up their games. WOW and Starcraft are two prime examples. Those went NO WHERE. In case you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic.

And the next problem is...what do you do when you get to the top? How do you move away from the elevator without pushing against it and causing all sorts of problems with keeping it balanced?
Those policians are fast over there in India. Fixate on some issue that many in the population will have no strong feelings on one way or the other. No matter what position the politician takes, their approval is unaffected. All the while it appears that they're doing something.
Holy cow, I just used there, their and they're in the same post. I also used "holy cow" in a post about India.

Really? Chair jokes are still getting modded +5 funny? Well in that case...I for one welcome our new flaming chair throwing overlords.

That is not true. A free download from Mobi PocketCreator will convert your documents (many kinds) to the kindle format. You then drag and drop when your Kindle is connected via USB. http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/default.asp?Language=EN
