    point 2 - please clarify.
    point 3 - xinted duplicates iptables, systemlog and cron functionality - what gives? (I agree). Cron - I also agree. Though that seems rather minor.
    point 4 - socket activation - please clarify
    point 5 - Considering it manages processes, it makes sense to have IPC, possibly standard - hence - D-Bus. What's stoping from running D-Bus anyway?
    point 6 - if it doesn't make anything worse for you, then you have no basis to complain. Go and contribute to coreboot if you don't like your POST time.

    What distro are you using - 3 iterations of Fedora in, and I've had approximately squat problems with PA.

    The streaming layer has to go somewhere - either per-app, or a unified one - which has less bugs and is easier to optimize?

    A proper migration path should be in place - though it would take coordination between kernel teams - get proper OSS 4 multiple application support in ALSA and/or PA - slowly deprecate their interfaces, and when everything is running on a OSS 4 backend, just cut the cruft.

    Computers are tools - use them as will, don't feel constrained from their use and your interaction with them at work - not that a non-technical hobby is bad - just keep your options open.

    I totally agree, though finding a life partner seems pretty hard with that attitude. Hell, at 17, tall, slim, and smart, I can't even get a damn one night stand - it's driving me nuts. Not that I'm about to turn compliant, it's more about being between a rock and hard place.

    I'd argue about the last bit - I've spent many a night shelterless, hungry and thirsty, yet I couldn't wipe that idiotic smile off my face - I was at peace with myself and the world - and weed is still illicit.

    Kernel performance on context switching? (read as: XNUs' stub security system inherited from Mach-O sucks donkey balls.) That, and, OS X is infuriatingly non-Unix the second something is not in the specification, which plays havoc with classical Unix-type packages. Just ask the Fink and Macports guys (disclaimer: project(s) may have closed, or changed names, or both - my info is slightly out of date, and I can't be bothered to check).PS: Do you really think that UID or physical age is an argument here, especially on such subjects? Please excuse me if I missed any humor.
