That comment reminded me of a DIlbert where the boss commented that laying off people was like printing money. When they lay people off, the stock price goes up.
So part of the linux experience means you need to fart around for hours? I Like linux like most of the folks around here, but I also like to get stuff done.

Actually, the POWER chips are used in the p-series (RS/6000) machines. The z-series mainframs do not use a RISC processor.
If you have ever had your own children, you would realize that they *do* have to learn to use the nipple.
For certain problems, but for some problems where you can't break up the problem into subproblems easily, big ass supercomputers will beat clusters.

Actually, it has 2 cores.
Firewire is overkill for a whole lot of things (keyboards, mice, joysticks ) and not fast enough for others ( hard drives ).
I only see this happen in windows 2000, and it happens with other applications too.
I have a 22" monitor that runs 1600x1200 and I run out of desktop space all the time. For me, more space is always better!
Fastest in some photoshop benchmarks, maybe.
