I'm not a big fan of these packages, either. But I have never not bought something because of the package. I mean, its sealed in plastic. I may curse when opening it, but that experience is forgotten shortly after getting the item out.
Aren't governor's mansions paid for by taxpayers? If so, we should have the right to have cameras installed to see whats going on with property our taxes paid for. Hell, I'd pay extra to have the cameras installed.
Not to mention that as always live performances always are a way for a talented group of artists to make money without copyright. There is no way to pirate attending a concert or a play - video recordings just aren't the same thing (its about like comparing getting laid to watching a porno - just not the same thing).
This! Went to Las Vegas recently, and caught a Cirque de Soleil show. I had seen it many times on TV, and had always thought, 'why go to a live show when I can just watch it?' I am now hooked on live shows - seeing them live was amazing! Watching it on TV just doesn't do the show justice, and it was by far one of the best entertainment experiences I've had.
So lets have two lines at the airport: one going to planes where nobody has to pass through security. And one going to planes where there is security screening? I can tell you which line I am going into. Pat me down and ask me to stand on my head. Its not bothering me in the least to feel a little delayed if it keeps an explosive off my plane. I hope all you people complaining wind up in the plane with no security and six bombers on the same plane with you.
I doubt anyone wants 'no' security. More like bring back the old security (metal detectors, dog sniffing, etc).
Even if it was 'no' security, I'd still pick that line. If the plane goes down, at least I can say I died without getting felt up by a bunch of thugs.
I'm fairly certain they aren't armed (I don't fly). Even if they were, given their 'training', if they were shooting at you, you'd most likely be the safest person in the airport.
Unfortunately, the Chinese government will most likely crack down even harder on people, especially those that followed the link for more information. So while Anonymous got more 'hacktivism' published, the people they did this for will be the ones punished.
I love the game, so count me in the 1% for the 'single player option in a multiplayer game'. While I consider the DRM and having to play online an annoyance, I'd label it as a minor one. If for some reason I can't connect to play, I'll view it as I always have with MMOs: a signal to go do something useful until I can play. I did my own thing in those (I triple boxed, as did my wife, so we always had our own group when logging on. In EQ2 this was awesome as the group size was six). I will miss the fast LAN play when we play together though. Hopefully, its not horribly lagged.
The vast majority of gamers own their games for less than two weeks, then sell them. They would never buy the games if they couldn't sell them.
I guess I am in the minority. I've never sold a game, or for that matter, bought a used game. I keep every game and console I've ever purchased (I still have my original Nintendo and Sega consoles and games to go with them from my childhood).
I am also in the group that will most likely buy the consoles/pc games that have DRM. While I don't like the idea of not being able to play if, for some reason, my internet connection is down, I just don't have the time or the energy to put up a fight. I enjoy games, so if one comes out I want to play, I'll buy it, DRM or no DRM. As far as backwards compatibility, I have the old consoles, so again, that won't stop me.
So, this explains my increase in emails from African Monarchs who just need my bank account number and $1000 to buy the equipment needed to finish the trek to the vast fortunes they hid when being invaded by terrorists, which they will then deposit into my account after they get it!
When a kid uses profanity does that not fall under free speech? It seams like when it comes to the application of free speech an onset of mass cognitive dissonance hits the forum. Where are the champions of free speech?
Sew, you are saying this thread is...
I had a whole pun in my head, then work happened and I lost it. On topic, take away his privs from logging in at school, notify the parents, do something if what he did was against the rules and on school property. But expulsion, for that tweet? Wow. So over the top.
Or.. maybe you could RTFA. The summaries are to give enough information to let you decide if you are interested in reading the article. If the summary is going to cover every single detail, they may as well just paste the entire article in the summary section, and do away with the links.
I have not played that game, so I can't comment on whether or not that particular game has to have it. The only Steam game I have is Skyrim, and other than downloading it, I keep my client in 'Offline' mode to play. That way, if the Steam servers are having issues, I can still play my game. I could care less about the Steam client updates I miss.
Just rename the spying as OPERATION INFINITE FREEDOM EAGLE PATRIOT SUNLIGHT. Who would object to such a noble venture?
O.I.F.E.P.S. ? That would make a crappy t-shirt or jacket for them to wear. How about Sunlight Patriot Operation of Freedom? S.P.O.O.F.
Ironic, given that he worked at Seatec Astronomy :)
Too many secrets. Great flick, haven't seen it in a while.
I heard a Denny's advertisement for a bacon milkshake. I just couldn't go there.

I get it now. I don't get it.
"This is like thinking you can cure a man of his heroin addiction by putting a "No Junkies!" sign on the front of your country club."
But, where will all the coke and hooker parties be held at?
Join the Secret Service, and you'll be able to find them.

... they are having competitions to see who can steal the ideas from our competitions first!
This! ^^ I wish I had mod points to bump you up.
How do you say "pool's closed" in Mandarin?

And what recourse do card holders have?
Cash still works. For now, anyways.
I'm sorry... cash? Does not compute. What is 'cash'?

But then we could just fire up the LHC again, and send a black hole to eat the black hole, and just repeat as necessary.
... have the LHC generate a black hole, and time it so the black hole intercepts the asteroid and eats it?
