Yep, considering they now have daily hot-fixes, it looks like they rushed Cataclysm out the door for that Christmas cash, and now the players get to sit there as their classes are "re-balanced" a few times a week.
What is the point in having niche channels, when you abandon your niche? As someone else mentioned, a lot of channels on cable (The Learning Channel, History, Discovery, etc) are just reality TV and conspiracy theory BS. Why even create niche channels, if they don't want to serve that niche?
Even the Science channel is bad these days. There are thousands of good science based documentaries that have been produced, but yet every time I try to watch something on the Science Channel it's just that silly "How Things are Made" crap. Seeing how the Cheetos got from a bag of orange shit, to my face, isn't exactly science!
then arcades aren't safe. CBGB's was a legendary club where many punk and new wave acts literally got their start. Now? The last I remember reading it was a Gap....
Arcades and CBGB's. Two members of a bygone era in NYC life.
The Arch community rocks. Period, end of story. Their Wiki is the reason I stuck with Arch, and ended up learning all about how Linux works, in the process.
And yet it's still the most widely used distro by a lot, and still gains new users... Did you think they'd get double digit numbers quick, or that they should give up when it didn't happen over night? It will take dedication to make Linux something that will enjoy double digit usage, and I see nothing wrong with the Ubuntu team not giving up, simply because they didn't achieve that goal overnight.
It's really not for everyone though. Those other distros come pre-configured with a lot of software, whereas in Arch you start with a base system and customize every aspect of it. As I said, definitely not for everyone, but for the niche it's focused on, it's amazing.
This is the problem with having a group like anonymous. Anyone can claim to be "it". Frankly it's starting to seem pretty silly to me, and nothing I would even take seriously at this point.
They really need to make Chrome more customizable. I like my browser set up the way I want it. I can do that with Firefox and Opera without any problems. However at this point you can customize IE more than Chrome. I wanted a simple button next to my address bar that gave a drop down bookmarks menu, and there doesn't seem to be any way to properly do that in Chrome, and the addons I've tried all end up trying to be way too fancy, and just don't do a simple drop down bookmarks menu like Firefox.
Between the lack of customizable options, and my paranoia about Google's privacy policies, I have just totally avoided trying to get used to Chrome.
I love adult sci-fi, however when you look at that list of examples, it's easy to see why they aren't going anywhere. They're all remakes of movies that have been done. Surly there is at least one original script floating around hollywood? Does every movie have to be a remake, or based on a comic book?
No, he really is just a conspiracy theorist. That is a fact at this point. In the past week he talked about the connection between "leftist communists" in America working with the protestors in Egypt to help install an "Islamic Celiphate" across the middle east and Europe. He talked about this all week, and even Bill O'Rielly finally had to say it sounded 'a little far fetched'. With Beck it goes beyond just having a difference of views. He just makes shit up.
If you can't watch h.264 on your Linux box, you're doing it wrong. Linux users don't need their hand held. Not everything is a nefarious plot to bring down the 1% of desktops that use Linux...
I hadn't even given this game much thought, but after trying out the leak, I've decided to buy it. It plays really well for how nice the graphics look, and the gameplay seems good. The leak is buggy as hell, but there is a cool game here. Just went from being not interested, to now planning on buying it.
Damn you piracy!:D
And not the entire PC gaming community... This one is their problem. It's an internal build. Everything is there. There are licensed tools in there that they don't even have the rights to distribute. DRM master keys (not for online play, for the actual secure shield DRM) with usernames and passwords in plain text files
This looks a lot like the development version of half life 2 that got leaked, except I don't think the full source code to the engine is with this one. Bottom line is that this could have only happened two ways. Someone working at Crytech leaked it on purpose. Or their security is garbage and someone simply copied it off a network drive that some idiot left open to internet connections.
No, they've actually released software since the invent of Windows 95.

If you were miserable you should have found another profession. No one forced you to develop anything...
Really? People still have emotions about Netscape Vs. IE? Get a life! ;)

I've been using Arch for nearly a year now. I distro hopped until I found Arch, and never looked back.
You say we have had censorship against wikileaks, and yet I can go there right now and have access to every part of their site.
You need to watch less Glenn Beck.
Anon also can't claim to do anything, or have any type of message either, because of this same reason. It's incoherent.

OSX is based on BSD, so if BSD isn't Unix (by your definition) then how the hell does OSX qualify?

I'm not sure how you draw a comparison to pirating media, to drug running. Drug runners are supported by the drugs they run, not pirated DVDs....
The Watchmen is no Blade Runner...

I wish he'd finally have his Lonesome Rhodes moment, and get it over with.

I love how with some people, everything MS does has to be bad, no matter what. Give users more choice? Booo!!!!
This is a good thing. Choice is good. This doesn't render html5 as useless, as it just gives their users more choice.
