Those of you out there comparing the DS to the PSP saying which one kicks the other's ass are a bunch of idiots, you know that?
It doesn't matter which system is better. It matters which system you personally will have more fun with. You're buying a TOY. Buy the toy that's more fun for you, or buy them both! I don't care. It doesn't matter. The video game market is huge. There are things the DS does that the PSP can't do and vice-versa. Big freaking deal.
We've gone through this crap since the days of Colecovision vs. Atari. Yeah true, eventually one system makes it big while the other system fades into obscurity. But arguing about what system is superior is a waste of time. What are you guys in Sony's marketing department or something?
This "my toy is better than his toy" crap is rediculous. Be young. Have fun. Drink Pepsi... or whatever.
All is well and good right now, google's still not evil.
The chances of google remaining not evil however in the long term future are not good. Every big company turns evil sooner or later.. it is only matter of time.
If Nintendo were unprofitable, I would think they could be for sale.
But they are not. They are VERY profitable. They have the BIGGEST franchizes in games. They have no reason to sell to Microsoft unless Microsoft offers ludicrous money.
Also, Nintendo isn't just video games. Pokemon anyone?
Anyway, I don't see Nintendo ever selling to anyone.
Would be nice if they could stream the TV shows off the internet so you could buy what channels (or what shows) you wanted ala-carte. I hate paying $40 a month for my cable when I only watch one network (ESPN) that isn't on the basic $10 a month list.
This is all well and good until some scientist accidentally fuzes 4 arms to himself and goes mad, rampaging through the city and hatching evil plots...
If they are rechargable like a Gameboy, then you have the issue of being in the middle of a game and unable to continue because your battery just ran out.
If not, you have to change batteries all the time.
Either way, I hope they at least plan to give the option for a corded controller, for those of us that still like them.
Anyone who steals music this way is ending up with a much less than perfect copy of the song they want. I would venture to say that this person would never have bought the CD to begin with, and probably would have gotten the song from some other means, this just makes it easier.
It does not however invalidate Napster's Business Model, crappy though it may be.
This is nothing new. This has been going on with "Rhapsody" and "Replay Music" for a long time now.
Well if you're going "green", you won't use 4 televisions and 3 computers and 2 playstations and all that at the same time. Plus you'll buy things like LCD flatpanel monitors which require a lot less power than the CRTs.
Also, in theory if you are generating the electricity on premesis, you could power a lot of things with DC directly, instead of needing to convert it at the outlet. That would help some too, I imagine.
What challenges are there to hack a wifi card to emulate the DS's wifi stuff (which I understand is horribly proprietary) and load code on the DS over that?
I know it'd be kinda silly to have a portable that needs your laptop to load custom code, but it would just be interesting to use to see what you could get the system to do.
I too love my gamecube, there is however one game I prefer on PS2:
Balder's Gate: Dark Alliance
Not only does it seem to save/load faster on the PS2, but the PS2's controller is better for it. Though my suspicion is because it was a lazy port, if you know what I mean.
Whats worse than Cell Phone drivers is idiots text messaging while driving. I see it all the time. WTF? I hate the blackberry corporation and everything it stands for. I want my 40 hour day back.
I don't know about that but some of my coworkers switched to Nextel phones (Which i absolutely hate nextel) and they freak me out because if a coworker is in my office and they get a call on their nextel, my monitor and speakers will actually start to flicker and make popping sounds a few seconds before their phone rings.
So I yell at them to take their cancer boxes away from me!:)
The other day I saw a Ferrari Testarossa pulling out of the building near where I work (The Federal Building of all places, who knew they got paid that much) and instantly I thought "Ooh, Cheetah" before realizing what I was thinking.... I just hung my head in shame.

OOps, I forgot to put this in extrans so you could see the: ""

Yep, I've had my DS on standby for a week before and it was fine.
Just close the lid and when you open it you're exactly where you left off.. really slick.
I heard he lost it when he let Fidel Castro hold it for a second.
Pokemon is a card game that is also a video game, movies and cartoons, that make millions and millions of dollars. Highly profitable franchise.

oh the horror.

But what I don't understand is, why don't they make the memory upgradable?
Nintendo did this with some success with the N64 and Majora's Mask. Made the game look a lot better with a memory upgrade in.
How many people would pay $50 to upgrade their PS2 to 128 megs of memory if it meant that newer games loaded faster and looked better?

This tactic won't work and people are wasting their money.
However, if you send money to me, it still won't work, but it will make me feel better.
So my suggestion, send the money to me, its the right thing to do.
Whats worse than Cell Phone drivers is idiots text messaging while driving. I see it all the time. WTF? I hate the blackberry corporation and everything it stands for. I want my 40 hour day back.
Comeon moderators? Only you can kill this overused and tired/unfunny cliche... don't spare those points, strike down this crap.
I'm tired of any "Duke Nukem forever" joke being instant karma. For pete's sake, its DONE already, we GET it.
IMO it would be better just to get a flash2advance cart and run pocketnes on your GBA.
$8 mil is a drop in the bucket, this guy got screwed.

It detected my "TightVNC" installation as possible spyware, but didn't say anything about the Windows Terminal Services service running ....
And for that matter, where's my Mr. Fusion, Hovercar conversion, Jaws 17 and perfected weather service? Aren't those supposed to be done by 2015?
